That's true it's only worth it if your gonna drive it hard.

Keep it, if you really wanted to race you wouldve gotten the GT-S to begin with!

Keep the GT. If you really want to upgrade to a "better" car, get a 350z, WRX, or something.

Just my .02.

yeah for what it's gonna cost it's not worth doing it for a GTS....keep the GT or get something else. i got lucky...a tree fell on my GT when it was 2 months old and totalled it, so i got a brand new GTS....i've been thanking that tree ever since, but i think it's gonna cost too much to be worth it.

i would never trade my gt for a gt-s or any car in its class...i realized that these cars will never be fast unless you dump twice as much money as its worht in it...if your gonna trade your car try for a supra tt or an rx-7...thats what i am in the process of doing..i got myself a pearl white supra tt 6 spd 95' ...so i realized this when i was riding in my boy's wrx that runs low 13's with very minimal workm to it...and all my freinds cars..stock wrx's can rip celica gt-s with mods anytime anywhere anyday ....soo dont get a celica gt-s ..they are slow too..sorry for turnin on trhis car ..but as of now the onoly thing its got goin for it is its looks...so i realized that none of these cars are worth the money(integra type-r..celica gt-s...rsx-s..etc.) so there is my 2 cents..well sorry if i offended anyone..that is just how i feel about this car now...i realize the mistake i made buying it when i could have gotten an rx-7 or something for less money that is faster stock than an celica will ever be..

If I bought another car tomarrow, it still would be a GT, and there isn't a car for $15,000 more that I would buy, yes and I have driven them.

You will find virtually in every case the GT is faster than the GTS in (solo2, autocross). It is the best handling car anywhere in the price range area.

Yea, when they first came out, I wanted a GTS so bad, but the longer I have had it, the more it has proven me wrong.

Do the turbo when they come out if you want just straight line speed and learn how to drive.

I laugh at people when they look down at my drum brakes( which I could not stand the thought of buying a car with them). If they only knew(my car weighs 2390lbs with a quarter tank(this is not gutted)(my car has every option) and has some of the best brakes out there.

How old are you?

I was at the Oscoda Pro Solo weeks ago and saw some of the best drivers and cars in the country. There were a few guys there that had the stockest celicas you have ever seen.

Rob Foley and GH Sharpes Celica has no options, not even power windows. The only thing he changed is alignment, Koni valved shocks and race tires, Period. They put to shame most cars out there. They even ran a stock exhaust which they can change in their class! They run stock brake pads and fluid too. My jaw dropped watching and hearing their times. They were even beating Subarus(very good drivers) that can dump the clutch with no wheelspin which will put most people playing catch up just at the start due to their all wheel drive.

Rick Cone also ran fantastic with his totally stock celica. He had a TRD exhaust but switched back to stock also. There are many more guys and girls racing these cars legally that I haven't mentioned.

Do you get what I am trying to say here? I don't think you realise what you have.

You guys haven't even touched the potential of what this car will do and virtually all of you never will.

Check results of Divisional races coming up and the Nationals in Sept. Compare the times to some of the other classes and you will see what I mean.
