Hey all,
just a off topic question but would be cool/interesting to know what you all do for a living? Work? School? Play all day?
Besides it would give us all a way to get to know each other a little better!
Inquiring minds want to know....

Well i still go to high school so I'm probably the youngest one here and I also work part time for my dad at his rice cake factory so if anyone wants korean rice cake for some reason, talk to me and I'll see what I can do. Other jobs include celica driver? haha

I'm just a lowly state worker! hehe, well, semi-professional state goof off. I work as a library tech for HSPLS (Hawaii State Public Library System)... it's actually a glorified title for "goof off extraordinaire" which is what I really do. I surf this site all day when I'm actually supposed to be earning my salary, but hey, whoopty doo haha.
I also work part time as a Pizza Hut delivery driver, believe it or not (and in YOUR area Scott, LOL!). With my Accord of course, not my prized Celica. Sounds like a dopey job, but you'd be amazed how much we actually make hehe. It's mostly fun and chuckles tho, I enjoy working with the ppl there, and I use the money to build the car. It's a nice change from the fogeys I work with from 8-5 throughout the week too.

Coming in a bit late to reply but here it goes, I'm a full-time student @ UH who's in desperate need of some better grades. I got killed last semester! This summer I also have been trying to make a little side non-taxed cash by installing car stuff for cheap. I'm also a part-time worker @ Jamba Juice in Kahala Mall. If you ever go down to the bottom floor where Starbucks, Star Market, Cinabonn, etc. are you'll often (during the summer at least) see me parked there. I usually try to park wayyyyy inside by the dumpsters. Hey and if you don't go to Kahala and you're bored, go to any Jamba Juice and yell "Jamba!"

Well I may have the most boring job out of everyone. I work full-time as a commercial real estate agent and as property management. The hours are long and the days fly by. But one thing I do like is that the pay is good. Most of the ppl I work with whether tenants or clients are all pretty much nice and good to work with. The market is currently steady right now, and the best thing about this job I can meet all kinds of ppl, whether it is a small business owner to some ceo and execs at banks, law firms etc. Cool job...and great boss to work for...:)

DAmn, i guess i need to post on the board more. I totally missed this whole thread. Well, here goes. I am currently employed by the US Navy. I used to a Ordnance technician. FOr you civilian peoples read " I build bombs and missles" That turned out be a pretty dead end job to have so... I am now going thru a new school out here in Pensacola, FL. Lets just say i work with computers. I really cant say anything more or ill have to kill everyone who reads it. No joke. The US government is currently running full background check on me that will take 5 yrs to complete. Heheheh =) Other than that i dont do much at all.:naughty:

Clint as a hitman? Daym, I can actually see it. The dawning sun glimmering off of his deep dark metallic Oakleys with a large AR-51 rifle and additional night vision scope (I dunno, I'm making this up here). Hey did you guys ever see the move "The Big Hit." That's the coolest movie ever! It actually makes you want to be a hitman! Ok, maybe not.
Hey Erich, you play paintball? For some reason when I saw you, you looked stringly familiar. Did you ever play down @ Kualoa Ranch? I don't even know if that place is still open. I used to be into paintball back a couple years. Me and my friends would go all the time. I still remember my two babies, a Splash Anodized Shocker and my sleek Black Autococker with chrome goodies. I've since sold everything to pay for other good stuff. All I have is like a crusty old box of BigBalls, some 12 grams, and other misc junk.

yeah man I thoughht the same thing I was down at kualoa witha really big mexican friend of mine almost three times a month back in the day I used to play with a blue angel and a bronze dark angle lcd but I sold it all to now I just have two cockers and I am just starting to play again
and delo whenever yoou guys want to on the weekend just let me know It would have to be before the 18th or so cause that is when I leave for college so just let me know and I can get you guys hookedup to the best of my abilities
I will warn everyone who is interested in trying it is a damn expensive sport and you don't realize where the money goes but as far as bang for the buck I don't think there are too many other adrenalin rushes that can come close, aside from being a good hitman where else can you shoot people all day and laugh about it or not get arrested

My friends dabbled a little in paintball a couple years back... I played a few times with them at the field at Senator Fong's place. Lotta fun, but I had no idea then how much money goes into the sport.
My nephew is really into it... I was shocked when he told me his gun retailed at over $1k. After flipping thru some of his mags, it really is quite shocking how much enthusiasts "pay to play."
All in all, it's about as real as it can get without actually killing one another. :)

07-28-2002, 05:25 AM
you want to talk about money hehe, over 1k in a gun is middle of the market right now unfortunately for what is left of my money I just bought another 1k gun it was stupid I know but wait till you see how beautiful it is but for a profesional team during the year they probably spend about as much as it costs to fully build a supra to supreme car status figure opening equipment alone for 7 guys is easily 23,000 dollars and not to mention 200 dollars of paint per person every time they do a full practice as well you figure 500 dollars of paint per person for every tournament, at the spyder cup this year they are giving away 5 nissan xterras to the winning team and a cheaper set fo cars to second place i believe last year the winners got eclipse spyders and the year before they got mustang convertibles, and everyone thought winning a prize at a car show was some dough, and the funny part about this spyder cup is it is not neccessarily profesional play, you just have to use a specific type of marker which only costs about 200 to get one and everyone must use that gun kind of interesting I guess.
and actually the first time i played was at a birthday party at senator fong's gardens field, I don't think they are still open though
for anyone who is interested in playing i am going to go either saturday or sunday after the tracks and you are welcome to come I can get you a free field pass which is basically 20 dollars off but you would have to buy the fields paint so let me know before friday if you want to go :) and the bruises aren't usually that bad:) nether is the pain and the adrenalin rush is great:):):)
ohh and lets not forget clint it is a great place to hone in those hitman skills:bang:

Hey thanks to everyone for responding!
I guess its my turn...
I currently work as the Advertising Website Manager for the Honolulu Advertiser. Been doing the web thing since 1994 when it all started... a friend and i had the 2nd webdesign business in Hawaii... those were the days!
I've been chatting "online" even before there was such a thing as the internet! Started "modeming" when i was about 16 years old with my first 300 baud modem... I used to cruise on all of the local BBS's as well as chat at a online place called Saimin, until the internet made all that obsolete! Can anyone guess how old I am? DOH!
Basically I sit at a computer all day long, churning out code or managing/building backend systems, websites and working with a very cool staff of people.

well since it seems like i'm the only one who hasn't responded yet...I'm a part time merchandiser for Hawaiian Isles. Which is basically a fancy way of saying i go to Longs and super markets and put coffee and water on their shelves. That's just for the summer though. During the year i'm a full time student at Santa Clara University. Hopefully this upcoming skool year i can get some bull$hit job in the weight room or something so i can make enough money to buy my rims.
