uhm, duh....dunno about anyothers but on the friggin 2001, they have the filter pretty near the top....absolutely ridiculous....

i changed oil last night in mom's car, unscrewed filter and couldn't help but get oil all over.....it's like dumping it the second you unscrew it......

hooray toyota!

Foo! There is a drainange right under the oil filter. If you unscrew it and remove the filter immediately it will splash all over the place. What you do is unscrew the oil filter partially. Do it just enough to allow the oil to flow out the drainage. That is what I do and I never make a mess.

acura does the same thing...both the integra and rsx's filters are high up on the back of the engine....either you have to go completely under the car or get it from above....the rsx i do through the wheel well.

Changing oil is very easy on my Camry, the spark plugs are a different story. Since I have the TRD SuperCharger, there is no way to get to plug one unless I unbolt the entire SC and lift it out temporarily. It took me like 4 hours to switch to iridium plugs.
