View Full Version : Eibach Sportline Springs Questions?

I'm getting close to the time to buy some lowering springs for my ride. Originally was going for TRD springs/struts set but have come across the Eibach Sportline Springs. I have a few questions for anyone out there with the Sportline springs before I consider which springs to get...

1.) How is the ride like with the Sportline springs on? I have heard from one person that the ride is bouncy.(?)

2.) Is the ride too low to the ground and scrapes the bottom? (I don't have a bodykit and don't plan on getting one so I'm guessing my car will probably not scrape?)

3.) Did you have to buy the Eibach Alignment kit along with the Sportline springs to correct the camber?

3.) What set of struts work perfect with the Sportline springs?

1. I've had my sportlines on for about 2 months and I don't believe they are bouncy at all.

2. The ride is NOT too low at all. I have never had a problem scraping anything, and i'm getting a Kaminari bodykit installed with them and I still have no worries.

3. I didn't buy an aligment kit, I went to my mechanic for an oil change and had him do an alignment and a camber adjustment for me. I didn't have to buy anything extra to do it.

4. I bought Tokico and I love them. I think it's a good combination and have had no problems with them at all.

Hope that helps ;)

1. I've had the eibach sportlines on my car for about 3 months now, not bouncy at all...almost stock ride
2. I have scraped going a little too fast STRAIGHT up a driveway...be careful on driveways, try to go up sideways if possible
3. No alignment kit necessary
4. i'm using stocks

I have had mines for about 7 months now...
1. I love the ride not bouncy at all - You can tell when you ar driving fast on the freeway it just feels like its flat on the ground...
2. Well that all depends on how you drive...
3. After the install just take the car for a wheel alingment so you dont kill your tires...
4. Stock for now... Im getting some new ones in 6 months or so...

What do you consider bouncy.....??
When you lower your car it's gona be little bouncy... when you goto bumpy road... on nomal road it's ride like stock.. but when the road is bumpy... it's gona be little bouncy....
My spring is 2.25 and it's rides really good.. like sportline... my friend has sportline and it's about same ride and mine is lower...
He has veil side it looks lower.....

Yea you need alighment.. don't need camber kit...
Just goto reputable alighment shop.. make sure park your car is garage and put square right up against your rim and floor and see if it is flushed against the rim and floor....

I agree with everything but the scraping issue. I don't know what kinda roads you drive your car on but I find it very very easy to scrape. If I had a body kit i wouldn't even be able to get over the speed bumps going into my apartment complex and there not even that big. I don't really hit the front end that much. Mostly scrapes in the middle of my car and i've scraped my exhaust tip on the ground a couple of times going up drive ways.

Some times angle doesn't matter. There are some places i just can't go without hitting on my car some where.

Then stop posting dumb ****. The whole point is everybody keeps saying that they never scrape with the sportline springs. The only way that can be true is if you live in phukin kansas or something. Because it is very easy for me to scrape. Stop acting like a stupid newb Itsagts.

I scrape very rarely. The only times I have was in construction. I've driven over speedbumps and if you do it at a realistic speed you shouldn't really scrape. I don't.

Well, I try to avoid the speed bumps, but i've never had a problem scraping over them, I may have a problem once I get my kit though.

You just need to be careful when you pull into parking spaces, your car sits lower, so you can't pull in as far, your front bumper won't go above the curb anymore, it will hit it.......

I don't know which springs to get now. Maybe this might help... I plan to try out autocrossing atleast once. With the Sportline springs would I be looking at some serious scraping? I'm still leaning a bit towards the sportline. I just want to know what I'm getting myself into, ya know? :)

Get the Sportlines. You'll love them once they're on. :)
