I adjusted my rear before the cruise, but the more I drive it the more I think I may have actually softened up the rear instead of stiffened it. I had it set at 2 before, and notched it up to around 4... but I'm getting more lean out of the rear than I had before.

Is 1 supposed to be the stiffest? Or the opposite?

Don't you want it softer in the rear if you want more grip there?

I dunno... I really don't know all the theory in this. To me it feels like weight transfer is the issue, which makes me suspect that I set the rear too soft.

i think softer slides you around too much, especially with crappy tires.

i dont understand why yours softened up with the higher #, you should ask hypers, unless you have a manual.

mines stiffens the higher i go. i have my manual lying around somewhere...

mmm that's what I thought too... 1(softest)-8(hardest).

Maybe having the front set softer than the rear is throwing the handling more out of whack than I at first thought was possible. I suppose I could be experiencing a little more oversteer than I want. I gotta go look and see if I still have my Tanabe manual too... or at least give Chad a call.

btw, have you tried fooling around with your settings to find something you like? I'm curious to see what works. One of these days I'm gonna go down to Campbells where Sean took me and tune the car.

I'd also like to see what effect it has at the track this friday if I crank the stiffness up on the front.

i sorta played with it, but i didnt go out and test every setting to get the ultimate handling car. i left it to something i liked. i raised the car up a lil and put my plastics all together again so i dont think i'll be changing em for a while.

Hey Clint, I think Jay has it right. If you stiffen up the front it should balance things out. Other things you could do would be lower the tire pressures on the rear or increase tire pressure on the front. Hmmm, dam I wanna go friday...
