Me and my friend with a Mustang GT 98 were at Fred Haas toyota yesterday in houston picking up some Antifreeze for the car and the sales man asks us about how close the race is with the Mustang GT, mind you I have a Auto GTS, so I reply that I hand him his Mustang ass while in VVTli, but out of it a pinto could keep up with my @$$. Well He was pretty impressed, and proceeded to blurt out that the GTS was being discontinued and at this moment im lookin at him like 'huh what da fu...' Well I don't know if he knew his $hit but can anyone conform this B.$.

Thanks guys. viva la uhhh... what ever.:p

yeah, maybe you'd hang with a v6 stang in vvtl-i, but the GT would pull on you all the way :)

also, it's not discontinued...why would they 'fix' the shifter only to cancel the entire thing?

Ohh gosh, last time they said that the 6-speed are discontinued and now a GTS, what's next???

Ohh but u know what I heard, I'm pretty sure the Camaro's next year will be the last of the Camaro's being manufactured because it's being discontinued

Im talking about the old body style v8 GTmustang with the auto 4.6 litre engine. Marky Mark he does not pull on me in vvtli and I actually pull on him slowly, but out of it he burns my ass. The mustang will not pull the whole time. Only when I am not in vvtli ONLY.

T2000gts are you talkin about the old mustangs v6 or the new ones. Because the new ones are really fast, even the v6 models.

Ive raced the old v6 once and I beat him just by a little bit start to finish it was more back and forth the whole time because I kept dropping out of the big cam, but from 60-80mph I had him by 1 1/5 carlengths.

One of the other rooms a guy mentioned putting a nitrous 25 shot on which only kicks in about 4500rpm to 6000 rpm to shorten the slow ass times and I seriously am considering it. What do you guys think, go or no go.

i'm that other guy, you genius :D

i say go go go. but if you got the cash, just buy a dual stage setup. spray a 50 shot from 2500-7600rpm. this is your general power adder. than the second stage to spray from 4500-5900 with only a 25 shot.

i know the older mustang GTs were slow, but...what kind of quarter mile times do they run? i know an auto GTS w/CAI would pull about as hard as most 15 second cars when in lift (130ishwhp average stock), and as hard as a 18 second car when not in lift (100whp).

also, when youre in VVTLi, it's only going to be for a few seconds per gear, unless you like explosions :)

well i hope you do realize that the camaro will be back....can we say brand name recognition

they're just gonna completely redo it, new chassis et al and bring it back in a few years. however, they will probably do without the redundant firebird

this means the mustang needs to keep getting better...you listening Chui?

I have also heard that the GTS is being discontinued in Japan and maybe the US. Heard it from a few sources.
