Your car should be fine if it's just sittin' for a month... you might wanna change your oil after you get back and maybe disconnect the battery but that's only if you're paranoid. Otherwise you shouldn't really have to do anything to it.
Also, if you do disconnect and remove the battery be sure to let it sit on like some wood blocks or something and not the concrete floor of your garage as it can discharge over time if left to sit like that.

Disconnecting the battery and changing the oil when you get back should be the only real issues. A month isn't that long. My Type R sits all the time for longer than that without being driven.
Btw, I've decided to hang on to it for now. Some changes may be coming soon, and I'm going to need it. Have a good trip home and Merry Christmas. Hope to see you next year.

If you're just gonna disconnect one side do the negative side. But make sure it won't end up touching some metal while it's off.

Just disconnect both. That's what my friends and I do when our cars are going to sit for a while. We still hit the battery with the trickle charger before we hook it back up.

i thought u should change the oil BEFORE you park it? so like the dirty oil wont sit in the engine for a month. there was a website that tells waht u should do to store the car, forget where it is.

Your oil is going to have mostly run down into your oil pan if you're letting it sit for a month so it won't be all over your engine. Since it won't be moving about and lubricating your engine until you get back and turn the engine on again it's silly to change it before you leave.

This is correct.

I parked my car for two months when I went to Russia and Alaska. No problems when I came back. Disconnected the negative battery terminal. My S-AFC setting were the same too. Weird  I was told to leave as little gas as possible, but I think you should fill it to the top because of condensation.
