seat grills...crappy ?

i just got these seat grills off ebay.

i understand that you get what u pay for but they look so cheap..is what they all look like or do you guys get em somewhere else?

yup...that's what they look like....i got those in red...threw them away a long time ago....now i have red bucket seats

You could have made those yourself for a few bux and like 5 minutes. Its just gutter guard screen and some rubber tubing with a slit cut in it.

yeah i went up to lowes and bought some chicken wire and a small rubber tube, made them myself and they are pretty cheap. It cost me like $4.75 total and about 20 mins to get it fitted and cut out, how much did those cost you?

well i paid 8 for them but all the pictures i have seen are very decieving..had i know this was it..i wouldnt have even bothered...im gonna make some myself..i thought they were polished grill material similar to what blue bomber uses on his grills...hardly.anyway.crap.

i have mine in blue but the mesh is a little thicker ...somewhat better rubber edging too. Yup, they're cheap little pieces but depending on what u use to make them they do look pretty nice. I mean hey, its something you don't see on a lot of cars so why not. Pretty nice tho

I got the seat grills in my celica also.
Granted, they do look cheap just looking at them like that.
However, once installed and you straighten everything out, including the rubber edging to form an even arch, they really look good!

Yeah the rubber is what's cheap on it. If I could find something better then tubing, like an adhesive rubber strip, that'd make it look a ton better.

i still have those on my ride. looks a lil different ofcourse. a friend made it for me a long time ago when i first got my ride. i just hate it when ppl sitting in the back start poking into it, making it fall out. and yeah its not the greatest, but i think it looks better than just leaving the seat holes empty.

ha...yeah, or when your girl wears a pony tail, and the thing pokes it right out the back....EVERY time...............so she's only allowed in the back seat from now on.......
