Newbie questions

OK guys, I am going to be getting some rims shortly, now that I have my kit done. But, there are a couple things I need to know first.

1. If I get some 17" rims with tires that aren't low profile, will it raise my ride height a little bit? I ask this because I need a little more ground clearance than I currently have.

2. Will I need to have suspension mods to get bigger rims, someone mentioned this, but I have never heard of this beforehand.

3. Will there be any way to recalibrate the odometer and speedometer? I have an auto so calibrating may be a little hard.

If I get 17" rims with Kumho 215/45/17 tires, will I see a rise in ride height?

The height of a 205/50/16 is almost the same as the 215/45/17.

The diameter of the 205/50/16 = 24.070886 inch
The diameter of the 225/45/17 = 24.972440 inch

So, the car will be about 0.45 inch higher............
