web site performance

Larry, Ever since you put the site on this new server, I cant access it many times . Are you performing maintenance or is it a problem? I work at might and I check the site a lot and many times I cant access the site.

what happens when you try and access the site??

Can't get to it. the windows flag on the right upper corner just spins and doesn't get anywhere , no matter how long it takes. Also sometimes I can get to the main page but none of the links (e.g. forum , etc) works. It says something about a server error , can't remember. I'll write down all the errors next time ithappens. Today i had trouble accessing the site.

I think I'm having the same problems as toaster. I think what he's reffering to and what I'm experiencing is that the site will not load up at all sometimes. It's rare when it does happen, but it's occured a few times. Personally it doesn't bother me, but I figured I'd reply. Hope I helped in some way.

Edit: Sorry toaster I happened to reply at the same time as you.

yeah.. sometimes the site will hang and someitmes it goes down.. i cant make it perfect.. we just gotta live with it.. when it is up it flies.. :)

The server is a new server, and I rushed putting up newcelica.org so there would be the least downtime with the site. Even though newcelica.org is up, I still have other software to install on the site, someime the server needs a reboot, sometime I just restart the web service itself. thing should be cleared up by the middle of Dec. I have all the software installed.

duno y guys.. ive accessed it from 3 different computers and havent had a problem yet at anytime less the web server was down..
