When I wash my car I try to dry it off with a towl, but even then I have water spots. I use the rainx body wash. Is there something I can spray on just after or just before I dry the car to help? I use a carnuba wax once or twice every 2 months. Any help is appriciated.

umm dry your car in the shade and try using a combo of towel and chamois (absorber type thingy). If you still have a few after that go get some sort of spray on cleaner/detailer like meguiers quick detailer etc.

You can try every different combination of products and methods to get rid of the spots but they may always show up. Many times you get them because of the chemicals/minerals in the water. If you get spots on your dishes and are not using a detergent that has some sort of anti-spotting ingreedient then there is your answer.

If this is the case, the only thing to try is going to a different town that gets their water from a different source and use a self serve car wash there.

I just wash it and the dry it with a towel, always get water spots so I just wait until it's dry and then make another pass with a towel.

Well I've only done this once so if this would negatively affect my paint in any way please let me know before it's too late :)

I think you would risk scratching the paint unless your towl is pretty wet.

Yeah, that's what I thought too after I did it, the towel was just a little wet, not much, came out looking awesome though.

If this works for you to get the spots off, you would be better off to use a Quick detailer spray (follow the products directions). I never like to rub anything on the car unless it has some type of lubricant. soap, polish, wax, quick detailer

I HAVE FOUND IONIZED WATER USED BY THE SELF SERVE CAR WASHES WORKS EXTREMELY WELL WITH A CHAMOIS..:)

i know there was a product before where you it's a thing and you hook it up to the hose and deionizes the water or ionizes it.. i forget, but it filters out the minerals in the water so you have like distilled water comin out of the the thing. i don't know if it's still being sold, but it was one of them "as seen on t.v." products.. went under the name of "the revolutionizer" anybody try or seen this thing work??

how often do you wax your car. after i waxed my car, i did not have any more water spot trouble in drying.

i like to use 2 big towel when drying. the 1st one gets all the water off, and the 2nd one really really dries it. i do not trust the waterblade because i've heard of people getting scratches on their cars.

I don't think that the water blade itself would scratch the car, but if you have anything left on the surface after washing, or if the wind blew some dirt on the car, you would basically be dragging it across your paint when you use the water blade. One big advantage to useing a terry towel is that the terry cloth will pull dirt up into it so it wont scratch your paint.
