2003 GT-S-- HIDs are stock!!!

Well my salesman from Toyota called today. He found out for me that the 03 GT-"S" will come with stock HIDs but not the GT. This is awesome news! Unfortunately, he also said that the 03 might not be available till October since they are having probs unloading the 02s (maybe its cause of the rev limiters--DUH). Toyota Corp just told me that the 03 will be available around Aug 31st so we will just have to wait and see the real deal. I wish I hadn't returned my car to stock so soon thats for damn sure.

So, how much will the HID's be? I'd assume much more expensive than aftermarket ones since Toyota like to charge an arm and a leg for OEM stuff.

Thats why need David Draper! to get the HID housings for us! The reason for getting the housings is to get an OEM HID system that offers superb lighting and beam pattern that is all legal. Dam 2003 GT-S!

Hmm I think we should complain to Toyota, saying that 00-02 didnt come stock with them, and its a glitch, how its less safe, and keep bltching until they make it a recall to all 00-02 GTS' hahaha (sorta like bitching about the 02 ECU thing...)

here's what you do.... find someone buying some altezzas, if you want the new rear tail lights, and pay them 50 bucks shipped for the new tail lights off the 03' for your 00-02 and then be on your way.

for HID's i have no idea what to say.

The only thing I would be interested in is just getting the 03 Celica housing and buying a aftermarket HID kit. The results should be awesome. No more worries with cops and light colour approaching to Audi and BMW standrads without compromising light intensity.

Hmmm I dont think its going to be smart saying everyone wants 03 lights!

Here is what we SHOULD do: "OMG the 2003 tail lights are FUGLY! Who would want those RICE LIGHTS??" So that way the 2003 owners will want either 00-02 tails, TYCs, APC, or Yangsoon lights. Also, then the 03 tails would sell for $50 easily (as do 00-02 tails).

i think a good number of the 03 owners will still go the altezza route and then we can still get their tail lights for cheap.

to buy them from toyota as a part, i know toyota will sell each side individually. they will probably cost 500 a side. grand total of 1000 bucks. thats assuming its all one piece. if there are multiple piece, then you'll have to buy them all separately, and it will cost even more. even if David Draper can get us a really steep discount off msrp, it'll be expensive, probably more than aftermarket.

i know because to buy stock fog lights you have to buy separately each mounting bracket, light, lens, bulb. comes to a total of over 600 dollars. thats what they charge for just the fog lights.
