View Full Version : Help me decide which color TE37

hey guys I'm ordering my rims on monday, I already have the intial order in for 17x7" TE37's. I don't want to wait for two months maybe even a little longer for these rims in gunmetal so I am asking you guys to pick which color you think would look better on a Carbon Blue celica- Bronze or White? That way I can get these within two weeks.

What do you guys think?

I'd have waited the 90 days and gotten black. You're gonna drive the car for the next few years, why rush now? You should wait and get something a little bit more unique. I think black TE-37s would look dope with Carbon Blue.

If not, then I'd pick the bronze over the white anyday.

get bronze be different .. everyone jumped on this gun metal crap when "JDM" became in. maybe u'll start a new trend .. btw i'm getting bronze too .. but not te37s .. those are too expensive for me

so you guys really think Bronze then? I like the gunmetal look but I really don't want to wait that long, but if I get mixed feelings from you guys then I will just wait the two months you know?

So far I was leaning towards the bronze...but we'll see :)

Anyone else????? Which ones- Bronze or white?

Ok let me ask you guys this- would bronze look kinda weird on a carbon blue car? I mean would it go together?????

Bronze seems to have a way of matching most any color. I think you could prolly even pull it off if your car was hot pink.

i think pluto on here has some bronze TRD rims on his carbon blue and it looks sweet. but black/gunmetal would still probably be my favorite.

Yeah tell me about it skatamatic...when I thought white or bronze would be my finally selections now I'm leaning towards gunmetal or hyper black...AAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! lol I have to decide today and call them up. Well I'll know on the way to work, somehow, someway I'll figure it out. Damn I had no idea it would be this hard to pick a rim, but whichever I get it will be nice- you can't go wrong with any Volk rim :)

What's the difference between the LE37's and the TE37's?

In all the ads they look the same except for the cap.

Just got a White Matrix XRS, 6 speed.

LE-37T has a Polished Lip. And its Limited Edition.

I have a set of white TE37's and am impressed by the light weight but kinda like the looks of the SE37's but am not sure of what to buy

Maybe if I can see a real pic of the LE
s then I might be swayed. Thanks.

nyoneway-- they are SWEET rims no doubt. But you and someone from else already have those so I didn't want to be "copying" off you guys you know?

I decided to go with TE37's 17x8 with a 38mm offset in Gunmetal. No one has these on this board, at least I hope not :D If they do then at least I know I'll be the only one in my area who has them :) thanks for your help in answering my questions. Any Volk rim is awesome! My rims won't be here til the end of September. I cannot wait I'm so happy!!!!!

Great choice in rims and color. I have te37's in gunmetal, but they're 18's

PS...My car is carbon blue too...we can be twins! :gap:

Heya!! Welcome to the boards... hope you can join in on one of our cruises sometime... we have several new Matrix owners in the Hawaii Forum now. ;)

Like nyoneway said, the difference is pretty much the polished lip... other than that, like you said, the center cap. TE-37s offer a center cap as an option, but there's an LE-specific cap that comes with this set. The TE-37 cap does look different.

Sh*t one of the sticker from my centercap is missing last nite. I don't know if it fell off or someone stole it. Know where I can buy another one?

nyoneway-- you CANNOT buy a new one from Volk Racing, I tried calling Mackin Industries about being able to buy a new sticker if mine were to get scratched, they said they would not sell ANY stickers to ANYONE due to the clowns running around with knock-off Volk rims. that makes me feel better, kind of, but if something does happen to it we're screwed :D

look in the box your volk rims came in, like the little brochure/booklet, they are bound to have an image of rays engineering/ volk racing stickers...scan it and take it to a decal shop. should work :)

Alright cool. You represent the west coast I'll do the east :thumbup: I got 17's because i still want to race. I have naaawwwwwwzz you know? :)

Ok now that the west and east coast have been represented with TE37's everyone else is banned from getting these rims unless you live in the central states :wiggle:

LE37Ts are not limited edition. i dunno where you got that from. there is a limited edition TE37 which basically is the LE37T with a diff center cap. and the wheel color may be slightly lighter.

Yep, I like the Limited Edition TE-37 better. Too bad they don't sell it anymore. :( I like the centercap and stickers more than what they slapped on the LE-37T.

Unfortunately, the LE-37T is just as available as the TE-37... not hard to get at all. I know there were only a very limited amount of sets of the Limited Edition TE-37 brought into the U.S.

If you can find a set for sale, consider yourself damned lucky!!

oh no... that has me a bit worried. I'd better remember to check mine often to see if they're on securely.
