thanks for your reply...
I currently have gt-s rims, but I also have a set of GT OEM rims.
The thought of actually purchasing 18" gun metal 5zigens or Volks would be awesome, but ..no money. So I only got to work with what I have.
Gunmetalling a set of gt-s rims(I would like to keep my originals in case I need to sell the car), similar to the Celica "M" in Japan is also another consideration, but coming across reasonable and available GT-S rims where I live (Canada) is almost impossible.
Hence, the gun metalling of the GT rims :D I need a pic :(
I guess, I'll visit the photoshop forum! :D

Get them powdercoated. It should only be about $50 per wheel at the most.

Yes, if I would gunmetal the gt-s rims, I would powdercoat them.
But for GT rims, plain old gunmetal paint would do for me. It'll only run me about $5-10 CDN per can. Plus I don't have to go through taking off the rubber and putting back on.
The only disadvantage is chipping, but even with powdercoating, it would eventually chip too (curbing, etc)

Gunmetal would look nice on the GT wheels. I wanted to do this until I got a set of wheels. Also flat black would look nice if you painted them instead of powdercoating.

I need a photoshopped pic though before I do it =(
The extra GT wheels were bought used and the intentions were for winter snow tires

They look great and I did them myself! Now I'm not embarassed to drive with the stocks because how ugly they are in silver.
check the pics on www.rc31.com/celica/
Now, only if they weighed less, it would be awesome.

Dude thanks! Cool autox pics. I was going to use the GT wheels for auto-xing too, but one day I woke up too late and ended up auto-xing with the GT-S rubber =(
Hmm the wheels heavy? When I used the 15" GT wheels, I kinda of thought the 16" GT-S wheels slowed me because of the width.
