Since its quite evident that an automatic transmission can ever be made to go fast on the celica...I've decided that "go" mods are just a waste of money for my car, it will never benefit any significant hp gains unless i get a manual transmission. With that fact, I am choosing the "show" route. But not like the big time mods that wins the import shows, but just the small subtle ones that make other celica owners say something like: "That celica is different, but I can't quite put my finger on it" Like the JDM style. I like natural looking mods that appear to be factory optioned. Theives think its a stock car so they won't break in. Cops won't give you a Vehicle Inspecton Ticket cause it doesn't appear to be illegally modified.

Hey 1zzfe, I'm TC-125. Yeah, your picture inspired me to get my taillights redded out from Blue Batmobile (V9 kit). I only have a 1 inch drop from the TRD springs which imo looks good for stock rims. If I were to get aftermarket rims (which I don't have the $$ now), then I'd get the car lowered 2" and get a full bodykit to even out the rest of the car. Since I have the extra set of GT rims just sitting at home collecting dust, I thought of maybe gunmetalling them. It would cost me a couple of hours of sanding and painting them myself (powdercoating is too expensive and too much labour to remove rubber for now).

My car right now (the pic was taken during half the TRD spring install; back is higher than the front.

Yeah, I was thinking of going to the junkyard across from the Richmond Casino and picking up some steel. My dad has a blowtorch and we could possibly make our own rear and front tie bars
