I took my car in on thursday to get my clutch and pressure plate put in and when I was there the service reps were all saying that they couldn't machine the flywheel because it was different than the GT flywheel. So, then they went to say that they will have to order a new flywheel (I'm assuming the TRD flywheel). Are they trying to scam me? or is it possible to machine the flywheel to make the clutch and pressure plate to fit?

well, the gt and the gt-s do have different flywheels. i think they should be able to resurface the flywheel, unless its in very bad shape.

they said that it wasn't a question of what condition it is in, it was because the GT-S flywheel had two levels to it or something and that it wasn't possible to machine it....

:werd: they can resurface it, shoot, if they have a problem with the flywheel. when they have the transmission pull'd, have them get you the flywheel, take it to a transmission shop and im sure they can do the job. yeah it maybe a hassle, but it maybe cheap also... sounds like there lazy...

or you could just get a lighter flywheel, but dont let the dealer get it for you... they will add $$$$, unless you get it from wctoyota, they'll help you out. good luck!
