ok im very new to knowing anything about cars. i dont even know basic mechanics. but i do wanna learn, im planning on taking some basic mechanic classes at a community college. in the meantime i just wanna know what can i do to make my 2k2 celica gt go any faster. can i add flowmasters to my car and if so, do they increase hp? i also wanna know what can i add to it to make it run faster. i work at a schuks so i get 20% discount on stuff so i can order the parts there and pay less. any help would be highly appreciated. :stupid:

A TRD exhaust would also help.

all those listed above will be a good start for an auto. but id just say go for the usual intake, exhaust, and headers. all that stuff listed above probably wont get you near to what a stock celica has. your car still wont be that fast, sure you will feel a big difference, but id rather save some money and go for looks!!

How much money do you want to spend?

I would reccomend a Nitrous Oxide system, Torque converter, and suspention mods to help keep the wheels firmly planted to the pavement. Also, if the service is offered, I would reccomend having some one like Level 10 modify your transmitions valve body for firmer shifts and full controle over the shift points.

First thing to try is chicken noodle then when you feel ready move on to clam chowder or a heaping bowl of chili.

"Souping" up my auto gt

is about as pointless as "souping" up an Echo :nono:

if you want too soup your auto GT up, then there is nothing available performance wise that will give you equivalent speed of a GT 5 speed, which is why most people are telling you that tweaking a GT out is stupid/pointless blah blah blah....neways, a turbocharger on a GT Auto will give you good speed (it would on any car) but it doesn't help your starting speed *off the line* which is what really kills auto's....soooo, the only real performance option for an auto gt in my opinion is a Supercharger, which isn't out yet.......so untill then you can get an exhaust & intake & make your car sound good & tweak it out w/a body kit & other cool sh*t

with i/h/e you will probably gain like 20hp at the crank, which might be as fast as a manual if not slower. but your gonna spend like 1k just for those 3 mods and get only 20hp out of it. i say go for show. make you car look real nice, that was it "looks fast"

since u have GT auto u need to push ur car with nitrous. it doesn't mean that u will be faster than other cars only with turbo theres some cars that could beat turbo with all motor. my friend is workin on all out motor hes tryin to find some motors that will work good on Celica GT auto we're having research on 1) GTS motor 2) SER motor 3) 90s Supra motor.... Its really amazing when you get into motors but for now stick with basic mods AEM CAI, TRD Ex, and Hotshot Header with Nitrous you will run at least 15.5 sec

wait for a supercharger.....all the other mods wont do much for u performance wise on an auto......but the supercharger should give you enough torque & horsepower too make people like "the game" shut his mouth

Let the guy do what he wants. Some of us don't mind driving auto's. Anyways, if you want some performance, as stated above, you should go with exhaust, intake, headers, and maybe some nitrous.
