No the Alpine you are showing will not fit without modification to the stock opening. Here is a picture of the fronts. (the rear is basically the same mounting setup w/o a 2-way stacked on top)

Look closely, if you remove the 4 gold screws the factory 6.5 will come out. They are mounted in a plastic bracket that holds it about 1" off the metal part of the door. The 5x7 will not fit with this bracket in place. Look again, there are 3 silver disks with black holes in the center at the edge of the black plastic bracket. They are rivets that would need to be drilled out in order to free the plastic from the metal part of the door. If you take this off the resulting hole in the metal is about 8" in diameter. You would need to custom make a bracket to mount the 5x7 in this large hole.
-If you have more Q's and imagestation ever comes back on-line I have some more pics with everything removed.

can u post some more pics of your things removed
also, does it help with sound quality with i just change the speaker. How many W of speaker can the stock HU power efficiently?

This is a pic of the 6.5 and the factory vapor barrier plastic removed (you can see the sound damping through the holes in the door

The rest of my pics are on my home computer. I have some good ones of the rear speakers in place and removed. I'll post them later.
You might see a minimal increase in sound quality if you just relpace the stock speakers w/ aftermarket, tough to really tell. The power of the stock amp (premium stereo package) is up for debate. I'm not sure anyone has answered that with test proven numbers. Yes the rear speaker is different than the front 6.5. It does not have the small 2.5" high mounted in front of the 6.5 mid/woofer. I have a pic that I can get later.

The Celica has an 8 speaker sound system. 6 of them are in the doors. What does that say about the rears? :)
