I want to go up to the Track up in WI... Is it Great Lakes, or Union Grove... Are they the same place???
I want to see what my car will do at the Track, but I have never been to one before.
Any info would be greatly appreciated. (Or if anyone want to go with me one of these weekends.)
I also wanted to know if there is a practice times for Newbies, and how much does it cost.
Thank you to anyone that can help me out.
Justin

The price is like 30 bucks to race as many times as u want, I will be there this saturday. I got a gt and can't get it in the 15's my best was 16.01 but that is stock and on a hot and humid day. At least I beat the guy next to me in his auto v6 mustang.

Can't do it this Sat, I got a wedding to go to. I would go in the fall when it gets cooler. Sitting in the car while in the staging lanes in hot weather sucks. That and my car runs like sh1t in hot humid weather.

My best times at GLD:
'00 GT-S 6-speed w/ Injen CAI and TRD Exh. 14.838@98.95
'00 GT-S 6-speed w/ AEM CAI 15.071@93.55
'94 CBR600F2 Micron exhaust, jetted, K&N filter 12.177@114.89
I'm probably not going to go back this season, I could proably only knock about two tenths off with more involved prep and the same mods I have now. For next season, I've got some ideas to get my car to low 14's at least. If everything goes the way I have it planned, I want to be the first N/A Celica in the 13's by next spring.

yeah i was just up there wed. I ran a 14.913@94.7 mph. It's not the best drag strip but it's the closest for me. Oh yeah jesse, good luck getting into thirteens. Hopefully i'll be right there with you next summer.

For 13's I'm thinking I need the following:
AEM CAI w/ ram air box (I'm working on making one this winter)
unbolted exhaust
some good weight reduction inside the car
Unorthodox 3-pulley set
205/50-15 drag radials on super light wheels (might be able to get some Racing Hart CP-035's, 9lb. each!) on the fronts
That's it. With the small tires, the pulleys and some weight reduction, I think it can be done.
hmm possibly.... wouldn't hurt to throw in an lsd, flywheel :) hehe

Actually, I think an LSD will hurt 1/4 mile times due to bogging off the launch. I think there is pleanty of traction available from a set of drag radials. IMO, the biggest obstacle to lower ET's is poor performance in the beginning of the track due to having to pull through first gear with not alot of torque.
