Knocking noise after installing TRD

we just installed TRD springs/shocks on my friends GTS and theres a knocking noise in the rear everytime he drives over a bump.

anyone know why?

springs seated properly? install went 100% smoothly. top of the struts mounted securly? stiffer suspension making the spare jump around? who knows but its not a normal problem for a trd install.

too loud of a knocking to be normal.

does anybody have a better pic of the entire shock assembly -- the order of how it all comes together, the pic in the installs section didn't help.

My bet is that the spring isn't seated properly or while you were putting the assembly back together caused the spring to not be seated in the groove on the shock assembly. I ran into this problem with my left rear shock and luckily i was able to fix it right away and it didn't take too long.....

Mine did the same.. Had to turn the spring on the strut after taking it off. It has to do with the position of the ends of the spring. It has been over a year but I think i turned the spring 180 Degrees..

sounds like your strut bearings went out to meeh.
