Rate of auto theft near UCF?

I moved up to UCF and I was wondering if there is a problem with car theft in the area. I'm used to parking my Si in a garage but since I'm moving to an apt. complex it will be in a parking lot. I have security devices on my car. Should I still be worried?

nope. honestly the worst areas are jefferson commons and Knights Krossing for just theft in general, but its a much safer area than s fla. i know one of you is in the "KKK" aka knights krossing, where the other one?

A buddy of mine lived in Jefferson Commons, and had his TRD Wing ripped off in less than a week. He's on the boards (vhlsidGTS or something). I think he had another theft incident there too. I haven't heard of anything else in the area.

especially with a civic Si... has yours ever been stolen Alan? here in pembroke pines, i dont know any Si owners who havent been vandalized or stolen altogether!

(marc, travis ****ty little EX was stolen 2 times, as well as having blown 2 motors... jeez)

Hey fellas, I was just thinkin... Other than my less than stellar idea to place a gps in ur car... How about we create a sort of emergency hotline in the event that one of our celis get stolen.

This way - the second it happens we can phone eachother through cell phone and get a beat on what kinda celi to be watching out for once on the road (make/model/mods)

All I'm saying is that arn't we the most likely to spot our celicas on the road? Cuz believe me, if ur just sitten there and ur cars been jacked, you'd want more than the cops can offer. I'll be one of the first to offer my cell in this emergency hotline.
