i heard about the change in the fuel cutoff which is 7800... is it still easy to keep the car in lift even tho the fuel cut off is lower then the 00 or 01 models which the fuel cut off is 8300??

no its much harder with the 02 ECU... i test drove one at the dealer while waiting for mine to come back to me from an engine replacement... i feel bad for whoever's gonna buy it cause i was lifting that thing every chance i had (i hadnt driven a celi for a month straight b4 that) and it only had like 5 miles on it or something...

ADD that to the list on reasons to special order your car for yourself...

I have an 02 GTS and have no problem keeping lift. The only shift i cant go right into lift is 1-2 .... The trick is to know the cutoff well and right when i hit 7800 i powershift to the next gear...and drops to 6100 or so. I CAN do a 1-2 but it involves a little clutch slipping in which im not too keen on so i dont ( unless im draggen someone. hope the shifts will be easier when i get the intake. just my two cents

well, the prob on the early 7gen celicas was keeping it on lift on the 1-2 only...however, the 2-3 required shifting @ approx 8000, so i'm not sure how easy it is for the 02 guys. also, if you have to slip the clutch to keep it in lift on 1-2, you might as well just drop it and have the engine fall to 5700....slipping the clutch means not all the power is getting to the wheels, just like when you fall out of lift, only the slippage also wears your clutch quicker.
