About to purchase this radar from a guy in NY for dirt cheap. Anyone have this or know a lil more about them than I do? All I know is that these were at one time the best radar out there. Not sure now.

8500 still is one of the best, but the Passport SR-1 is the ultimate. Either is worth the money if you're a chronic speeder.
