how fast are older eclipses?

this kid i know from school was tailgating me and getting on and off the throttle behind me on my way out (i had a friend in my car and he was alone) so i waited until i got to almost 60 then moved over and floored it. i should've floored it earlier because he punched it before i could even downshift and was going at least 5-10mph faster. and got ahead by a car by the time i hit lift, stopped pulling as i hit 7000rpm then went down to only ahead by a bumper by 85 as i wound out 2nd and let off.

it's an older GS (or RS? only two letters, last of which was S), the one before the previous turbo ones. a 5-speed at that. so what can one of those run? unlike my car he can probably try to launch and shift fast and stuff, so could it run 15s? or 16s? he asked me to find out. :)

Well i dont see how a Gs eclipse could beat you, are you and auto electronic sportshift? alota people put turbo's in the Gs. so i wouldnt be suprised. but i have no problem beating moded eclipses GS's they arent really that quick, i belive its stock 150hp in the GS. i think maybe with a good driver, they could hit like a mid- low 16. thats my guesstimate.

THEY did be cool and have GS,RS turbo eclipse's lasers and talons from the factory in the 1g's. mainly the laser thou


if you raced a turbo one, it wouldn't have been that close

yeah. so they're low-mid 16 sec cars stock?

the non turbo was a low - mid 16 second car..

the turbo was a high 14 to low 15 second car

btw.. the turbo model didnt say GST back then..it said GS Turbo.. the word turbo was under where it says GS.. they also had the Laser Turbo, and Eagle Talon TSI..

There is a Lazer around my way that pissed all over my friend's GTP.He could'nt have been stock,Because he put about 15 cars on us before we hit 100mph.:mad:
