I just ordered 4(205/50 16) Kumho ECSTA Supra 712 from the tire rack. I know they arent an all season tire but was wondering how they or other performance tires(not all season) get around in the winter. I guess Ill try them and if they are totally worthless Ill get some winter tires.

Also how is the Celica in general on ice and snow? Right now with the origanal(kinda bald yoko's) tires its absolutely horrible. My Z28 gets around better and stops better on snow and ice and its tires arent in the best shape either.

The stock yoko's aren't for snow/ice/mud at all, they aren't rated for it.
On snow and ice summer performance tires are going to be straightup hell. I had Bridgestone Potenza's on my car and I probably did a weeks worth of damage to my clutch just because I was all over the place and starting and stopping is embarrasing. And no I didn't sit and jam my foot on the gas, No matter how slow I started out it too forever just to get going. Trust me it will be your worst driving nightmare come true w/out at least some sort of all seasons on there. Summer tires lack any amount of siping action that is needed for gripping in anything other than water on some pavement. During the latest blizzard here I learned my lesson the hardway, I drove slow but still I slid all over the place. I now have blizzaks and I will never go without.
I honestly thought it wouldnt' be that bad, but it was terrible with those summer tires on there
