I just put on my 18's on my car, and I noticed that my rear wheels are slanted in. When I had my stocks on, the wheels were slanting in as well, but I didn't care that much, cuz I had crappy tires. My car is only lowered with TRD springs, but I do have a TRD rear strut bar. I really don't want uneven wear (or at least as possible) on my new tires, because they're pretty expensive. I was wondering which would help fix my problem with my my rear wheels slanting in: just loosen up the rear strut bar, get an alignment, or get some hotchikis camber links. On a side note, my rear looks lower than other celicas w/ TRD springs, and I only have 1 12" sub and amp in my hatch. Thanks guys,
Richard

Ohh, yeah, a camber kit, $150 then $70 for an alignment.
Oh wait, the $70 alignment would have solved your problems anyow.
Stock alignment specs call for about 1 degree of negative camber (that's the technical term for "top of wheels slanting in"). 1 degree is noticable.
Did you get an alignment after getting the TRD springs?
The Celica has stock camber adjusters in the rear, more than adequate to get a car with TRD springs into shape.
Also, the strut bar has absolutely nothing to do with the camber.

No, I didn' t get an alignment after I got my car lowered. The reason why I thought it could be my rear strut bar, is because I tightened it pretty tight, and thought it was pulling the two struts together, but if you say it has nothing to do with it scott, I believe you. I'll go ahead and get an alignment tomorrow then. Thanks

It's because of the springs that the wheels are tucked in. Rear strut tower bars are even really strut bar to begin with. The technical term is chassis brace since they don't connect to the strut towers. Take it to a GOOD alignment shop and get them to align the suspension for you. That will solve your problems. The car will feel like a million dollars afterwards.

My favorite non-technical term is butterfly and I think in the future we should say negative butterfly instead.
coOOlcelica: Just so you know springs don't settle and if they do they were....
A) Installed wrong (not in the perch)
B) Measured wrong (suspension not settled after dropping off the jack)
C) Sh$%ty springs.
