View Full Version : Gumout injector cleaner

i did a search for gumout and didnt find anything. if anyone has used this product from penzoil, please tell me your experience using it. thanks.

i've used it once...... its not bad but i prefer to use castrol fuel injection cleaner.......

chevron with techron injector cleaner is good, but an entire fuel system cleaner is better.

I use Chevron with techron exclusively every other oil change, 6,000 miles or so.

Has anyone tried the Valvoline Synthetic Fuel System Cleaner?

If so, how is it?

A friend of mine dropped it into his Accord, and he said it really made a difference.

funny you mention that...actually I just saw it at pep boys yesterday ($9.99), and it looks nice and convincing in the package....i'm definitely going to try it now that you mention it.

valvoline synthetic is good. i used it. feel more confidence in my car.

I have used both the Chevron and Valvoline one before, but now I feel the Redline SI-1 works the best for me. :)

Save you money and spend a little more and get the Chevron Fuel system cleaner or STP fuel system cleaner.

hehe.. i just got a bottle of the valvoline stuff for putting my car in a show (along w/a case of synthetic, some valvoline lubricant, and eagle one detail kit)

i should give it a shot.. no money spent.
