Yes, the stock amp has an audio input, otherwise how would you get audio output?

No, it doesn't have an "AUX" input. It's an amp, not a head unit...

In any case, why does it matter? You could buy a better amp for less than $50. I read your PS2 post as well. I think Luni420 had the best reply: you don't plug something like a PS2 directly into an amp. How are you supposed to control the voume?

yes you can get an aux in ....

call blitzsafe products (from the blitzsafe website) and you should be fine... i believe the product nbumber is toymxm4 aux or something like that... allows for RCA-CD changer IN input.. and works beautifully...

No, you can get AUX in for the *head unit*, not the amp. Why would an amp have AUX in?

The PS2 does not plug into the amp. It gets sound from the FM modulator or that would be the only sound you get. You couldn't get sound from the HU if you plug into an amp. So yes you do need an FM Modulator. It has the Aux imputs on it. GTS LAid, I know it doesn't have an Fm modulator included. You have to buy one. I am an installer so I think I would know. Thank you all for your opinions!

I agree, and that's exactly what I said. So I guess we're both wrong? Please re-read what I wrote and then explain how it is wrong.

The PS2 gets sound from an FM modulator? I doubt that...

I can't get sound from my head unit if I plug it into an amp? Well, that's true, I have to have speakers hooked up to the amp as well...

What does being an installer have to do with it? Just because you're an installer you're automatically stereo God? The so-called installer who originally installed my sub did one of the worst installs I've ever seen.

I wasn't trying to be a smartass. The title of this thread is "does GTS stock amp has has audio input? AUX in?" not "Does the GTS stock HU have an AUX in?".

Josh the first quote I did reread that's why I changed it. Second the sound does come from the FM modulator like a cd changer etc. Let me explain.

THe FM Modulator has an antenna jack for the cars antenna to plug into and has its own to plug into the Head Unit. Now there are 2 station settings on a FM modulator which are dead stations. To get the sound you plug the PS2 AUX jacks into the modulators AUX jacks. now you set your HU to one of the dead stations that you have set on the modulator and boom there is the sound for the PS2. and you'll still have your other radio stations and also you can listen to your cd's / tape etc. but the modulator does give it the sound to a radio station. Does this clear things up for you if not call me and I'll explain in better detail.

I know what an FM Modulator is (even though I'm not an "installer") and I never said it would not work.

Ahh Sh1t i missed all this back and forth... basically the kid wanted to hook up his PS2... the best way to do that while retaining the best possible S/N ratio and lowest THD percentages is to use the blitzsafe or the peripheral connectors to connect the RCA outputs to the CD changer inputs.

I'm not doubting you guys... just maybe thought you didnt know about the CD changer inputs on the celica that can be used for RCA ins.

No, that was a different thread. In this thread he asked if the stock amp has an AUX input.

Yeah, if he was using the stock HU. I don't think he is.

I know about cd changer input in the stock HU, but I assumed that he's not using the stock HU (because he's been asking questions about replacing his audio components). My bad for making assumptions...

So you're telling me that a PS2 gets sound from an FM modulator? So it uses a radio internally?

-Josh

Stripe GT2

That is correct. It has 2 station presets on it. Once connected to the HU you can turn to one of the stations (whichever selected) and all of the sound is on that station. It's the same as a cd changer if you've had an aftermarket one.

I'm not talking about car stereo. You're telling me that the *PS2* gets its sound from an FM modulator?

>It has 2 station presets on it.

The PS2 has two station presets on it? Wow, Sony really took a step backwards if they're using a radio in the PS2...

Yes, my *car stereo* could get sound output from a PS2 via an FM modulator. I know that.

Obviously this thread is going no where. What are you asking about the PS2 for Josh? He wanted to know how to hook it up now I told him and you are taking it off the subject. I don't know if you're are trying to insult my inteligence or what but, don't. It's not needed here. I am just trying to help, not play games with some moderator who has nothing better to do than see if I'm on my sh!t. Do me a favor to Josh, if you have more to say or whatever PM me or email me. This is bullsh!t going back in forth over something that has nothing to do with the point of the thread. That is all.

Tom:)

You're right, an FM modulator has nothing to do with this thread. How would an FM modulator help get AUX in to the stock amp?
