A female friend of mine is going to be purchasing a new car in the next few weeks and she asked for my help in chosing a car she has a few cars in mind but doesnt know which car is best.

I dont really know much about other cars and i was wondering what you all thought.....

She only drives stick and she like to go fast (sometimes not as much as all of us lol) the cars she's looking to buy are as follows....

1. Hyundai Tiburon GT V6
2. Acura RSX
3. Volkswagen GTI 1.8T
4. Civic SI
5. Toyota Matrix 6spd (XRS)

Also maybe 5Spd GT Celica but she isnt too fond of that car. She looking to buy any of these 6 Cars or maybe any others you all might suggest (new of course, nothing used)

Thanks ahead

1. not bad, it moves!
2. base rsx... ok type s=nice!
3. hmmmm, not bad...
4. if its the newer one.... no.
5. its ok, looks cool.

out of all of them... i would say rsx (ducks under rock), but any choice (but the si) is nice and pretty quick.

She sounds like she'd have the most fun in a chipped GTi. Turbo's are really fun. Any reason why she won't buy used? There are some great older cars out there that fall within' that price range *cough*Supra mkIV*cough* that would be much faster and better looking, not to mention more upgradeable.

Based on her list, my guess is she'd be happiest in the VW. Sporty with plenty of space for people and stuff. Very solid feel and the best quality interior. Good potential for performance upgrades if she's into that.

I would definitely go with the 1.8T, chip it and throw on some better tires and you'll be able to burn a lot of cars out there.

she test drove the RSX and Tiburon so far, she said the tiburon faster but she fell in love with the RSX (for now) and she feels there is no need to test drive any of the others on the list...

oh P.S no mods bone stock for life

Im trying to convince her otherwise

I'd say stick with the RSX and forget about the tiburon. why spend all that money on a hundai? I think the RSX looks off da hook, I am also planning on getting one if I get some dough.

rsx- it's reliable
1.8 t if you were gonna chip it
si (depending on the mods that come out)(who am I kidding, it's a honda, it can be modded)
matrix, cool, kinda weird lookin though

I would choose the VW..it is safer----I was on patrol and this guy rammed a Toyota Camry with his VW twice. People in the Camry threw eggs at him. Anyway, Camry suffered rear end damage to the rear bumper, the trunk popped open and would not close (off line about 2 inches), the tail lights were busted up and barely hanging on, passengers in the rear suffered whiplash...the VW only scratches on the front bumper and a jacked up front license plate only. VW good, strong car to move slower cars out of your way...
