Just wanted to give everyone a heads up on whats going on. Polishing on all the bars will be completed late tonight or early tomorrow morning as well as the packaging if I can stay awake. (had about 9 hours sleep the last two nights)The only problem is we are still waiting on the rod ends to come in for the bars. They were scheduled to be in yesterday but have not yet arrived. So I will let you know when they come. I am still shooting for shipping most if not all of them tomorrow if the rod ends show.

Well the shop found enough hardware in the shop for ten units. The order still didn't make it in. But we can send ten units out today. :) And the rest Tuesday as soon as the hardware makes it in.

The first 10 orders have been sent. Should be arriving at your door steps any time. :) Still trying to track down a handful of 3/8's rod ends for the second half of shipment. The 3/8's rod ends that were suposed to be in last thursday are on back order. Not sure for how long. The shop made it sound like it's only a few days behind. Basically if you ordered before 8/15 your order has already gone out. ;) I emailed all customers that at are still waiting to ship. This stuff usually happens. When everything is going great, something has to hold it up.

I think the post office is behind a little from the holiday last week. I expected people to start receiving them by Friday but I see they are running slow. Usually they get them out fairly quickly. They should all be arriving shortly for those already sent.
The back ordered rod ends came in today also. So the rest will be sent out ASAP! :) I work my ghey job till 5pm so if my wife can't send them this afternoon I will tomorrow morning. Which won't affect arrival times since afternoon orders are not sent till next day anyhow.

Sweet Jason!!! I hope to get it before next weekend for Nopi and I am trying to get my Big brakes before than too so we shall see what happens. Jason did you get to go to Impoirt Xpression in DC last weekend? I couldn't get my car back from the shop to get the new fender and repaint it after some dum butt hit me 2 weeks ago. Hate it when people don't whatch what there doing.

Did you crank it on w/ a torque wrench?

I didn't get a chance to make it down either. I wanted to but my schedule wouldn't allow it. All my inventory is qwindling down. I had to order in new stock. I don't even have a new front strut bar on my car permentantly yet. Money is too tight right now for me to own one. LOL I can't afford my own products. The first batch of 20 bars basically covered prototyping and some bills for the month! :( Still working hard. Got a business workshop and another meeting today and tomorrow. Waiting on the sway bar end links to test and then we will work on the rear bar for the Celica.

-Mike Nope just used a ratchet and socket, the nuts that came off the strut towers were not as tight as i thought they would be,so i just tightened the new ones up snug. Since i don't own a torque wrench:(

You might want to consider using a torque wrench on it. Most mechanics are pretty cool about letting you borrow their tools. Just roll up to Kragen or something of the sort and you can tighten it up a bit...

29ft/lbs is what is quoted on the install guides I believe. That's not an aweful lot. I went for years without using torque specs but to do it right you should have it torqued down.
Thanks for the comments. More great stuff is on the way. And if it's not great then you better tell me so I can make it great!

got mine today, but it's missing the 6 new 13mm bolts to hold down the ends to the strut tower.....anyone else not get these? damn this sux, now i have it and can't install it, it looks awesome except for the machining marks/swirls....i don't want to use the stock bolts cause it doesn't seem like much thread is actually gripping (hence the reason you include them), and once i drive it might snap the top of the bolt off....
jason, help!
racinjason
09-13-2002, 04:52 PM
Sorry bout that. I'll ship you out a set of 6 nuts if you want. Or you can pick them up at Lowes or Home Depot for 40 cents and save yourself alot of time. They are called "8M 1.25" thread nuts. Grade 5 or 8. But perferably 8.
I actually like the machined marks from the CNC. It gives it a custom look. Since it's hand polished. All other bars are made of steel and powder coated etc. So think of the CNC machined bar as purpose made and custom made just for our cars! Just don't use the stock nuts it will strip the threads out.

Whoa 29 ft/lbs. ? I probably have them tighter than that. The bar rocks Jason,i can tell the difference:gap: the front feels really solid now;)

Thanks for the comments! Becareful not to over tighten the bolts ti can creat extra stress which can weaken the threads or snap the bolt over time. This HAS happened to me before!! Many people do not tell you the manufacture specs for tightening. I try to make it a point to do this where applicable.

Yey, I too got mine in...got all the parts =) It's awsome, most people say that struts for looks, but if you take some really hard turns you could feel it. If not, I guess it's just me. Had a little hard time installing it, because of all these extra cable and all. Other then that, I LOVE IT!!! =)

My receipts shows your bar was shipped two weeks ago TJ. Gotta give USPS some time for ground shipments. Remember you paid ten to ship it ground. So it could be a few days. Give it time to go cross country. It will only take you 10 minutes to install once you get it.
