ok, some of you might know that i was planning on selling my car soon and trying to move on to something a little better but due to being really broke right now and finally getting my car running good again, i've decided to keep it for a while. anyways, i don't think i wanna drop too much more money into it (unless a cheap, powerful, and reliable turbo setup comes out) but i'm thinking about doing a few cheap things. here's a current pic of it and then a photochop job of some things i'm thinking about. any opinions are welcome, but i'm kinda leaning towards doing it to give the car a way more aggressive look.

if i do the rims, does anyone have an idea of what i should do? i know you can powdercoat them fairly cheap, but i don't think i could keep the outside polished like they are in the pic. i've seen a lot of people with painted rims that look good but don't know what would be needed to get it done where it won't chip and fade. if anyone has any comments or suggestions please let me know. thanks...

I think that your new aim might lead to something that looks really good. Your car looks good as it is now though. So be careful.

yea, i love the way it looks now so i'm a little worried but i think it has potential to make it a lot cooler. i'll keep thinking about it and let everyone know though, but i am thinking seriously about trying the headlights soon.

do your wheels actually have a machined lip or is it just silver?

i believe it's machined...it looks polished/chrome (well not really chrome but you get the idea) instead of just silver so i think that must be what it is.

I'm sure that you could just tape up the polished part real good, sand blast the centers and then take them to get powdercoated. Then you just untape them, throw on a lil polish and there ya go.
I still say do it. Just takes $$ right? :)

that might work...i was worried about the tape not holding up to sandblasting but maybe it would be alright. i guess i'll just ask around some more and see what i can find out.

I think that powdercoating is a good idea for those wheels too.

yea, i've heard it will definately hold up better but i just wanna find out for sure that i can mask off certain parts and keep it silver. hopefully it's possible.
