Damn, the front end does look like a RAV4. My previous vehicle was a '97 4Runner and I prefer the older look with the chrome front bumper versus the new with the extra molding. This new look looks more like the conquerer of the shopping mall rather than the backwoods, but that is the majority of the market for SUV's :ugh:.

It's about time the 4Runner got a V8. The 3.5L V6 is adequate but an optional V8 would rock.

I see RAV4 hints in the front...

it looks a lot like new sequia (and lexus)... which is a bigger car now and it will be called Land Cruiser in Europe... however, landcruiser in USA still stays the same... talk about confusion...
New Land Cruiser looks tight tho:

The new 4Runner is supposed to be based on Toyota's new global SUV platform--the same one that's used for the the new Lexus SUV.
Haven't heard yet if a 5-speed will be available. The 4Runner has been automatic only since 2000 (or was it 2001).
I'ld rock the hell out of that. Very pimp.

I heard the new 4 runner is 8 inches wider now and is meant to be a closer descendent of the Landcruiser. I might go buy one I've been waiting for them to come out and as far as I've heard I still have another month or so to wait. If it has the 4.7 liter in it then it will be sweet. Anyone else heard the rumor of a new Tundra 5.4 coming out. I know SUV questions Celica page.
I'll find out and let ya know.

Apparently, the 2003 4Runner is using the same V8 and 5-speed automatic transmission as the Lexus LX470 and GX470. The LX470 uses the Lexus 4.7L V8. Nice!

Is this the same 4 or 5 passenger?? or they adjusted the size good for 7 or 8 passenger?

I like it. The front kinda reminds me of a Lexus.

I like it too, but still prefer the current version more.

The current 4Runner has a dealer option of a third row of seats. It is a bit over $1,000 and the seat goes where the storage is. My uncle considered it for his 2002 4Runner Limited.

I like it. Reminds me of the TrailBlazer from the side. Oh, according to MotorTrend, the Tundra is supposed to get a bigger V8. I think it might have been 5.4L, but don't quote me on that.

03 4Runner SR5 -- a little sportier, complete with hoodscoop.
