As far as how it looks close up, because the vinyl has a glossy finish it looks like real CF from more than a foot away. If you get your nose up in it you can tell it's not real. However because of it being low and in shadow most of the time it looks completely real :)

As for the tweeter covers, since I took the door panel off to get the pockets out I pushed the covers out from behind. The left and right covers are different. The notches on the sides allow for placement in only one door, not tough to guess which one.

Pretty happy with the outcome. Kinda going for the CF interior thing with the CF ac vents, center dash, and now door inserts. Don't want the rice-it but I think it is tastefully done so far.

I never thought of doing something like that. I've got alot of projects I'm working on right now. overlays are in the works for the following:stock wing, fuel lid, rear latch cover, WWest sideskirts, HVAC, door panel(where seatbelt hits), and tyhat's just a few.

That actually turned out pretty nice. I love CF and would love to do that to my car. But Im just too lazy to cut out the pieces and mod them.

Since it is hard enough getting CF things made that EVERYONE wants, my guess is that it would be very difficult to get HVAC and door inserts done. Hell, I've been waiting for a CF gauge cover for a year and it looks like it just now has become a reality.

The cf Vinyl looks just like the cf dashkits you see out there. I think it looks okay on small surfaces, but larger ones...no.
