cellophane and rubber cement to achieve IS300 yellow ion fogs

can the method of using yellow cellophane plus rubber cement achieve the is300 yellow ion fog look? This method has been very succesful on the TLs, my friend did it to his stock fog lights. However will this work on the celica since our fogs dont have the rectangular housing. Im worried about the high temperature of the celica fogs during its prolonged use. What do you guys think? Can this technique be applied to the celicas as well?

just get a set of piaa ion crystal bulbs in there. looks just like the is300. i know, i have them...

true, but the worries that you dan't have to deal with are worth it. all it takes is just changing bulbs and that it. no worry bout melting, glueing and all that stuff:) plus with the piaas you get a sh!t load more light. i douht you get that from tinting the fogs...

good luck:) the fog houseing gets real hot and since it small and round i'm not sure how you'd get cellophane in there with out it bunching up on you..

just buy PIAA lights, i paid 7.95 for my bulbs (so 15$ total) and they're ION yellow...

just too bad i dont have the celica yet, lol

Since your doing that, why won't u get some blue cellophane and do an experiment with your celica housing headlights to see if you can get a HID look a like lights

But if I where you, I'd save my allowance and just get me some bulbs, it's better looking

But if you prefer the cheapest thing on earth, heck, I got tons and tons of colored cellophane at home, I'll even give it to your b-day or christmass, I'd even ship it for free. You can even tint your windows with it :chuckles:

If you're really gonna go through with this, get some gel film. You can get it at camera stores. It's made to withstand high temperatures since it's used to professionally filter light. It's also the same stuff people use to change the color of the HVAC controls, cigarette lighter, and clock.

There's a good reason for that. Think of it this way.. if your left fog light bulb burns out are you gunna replace both of them or just the shot bulb?

er......why is this rice? yellow fogs aren't bad ass looking? what's rice about this...please explain becauase i think it's awsome looking if you have HIDs because obviously the wihte in the fogs would never match the HIDs unless you have a HID kit for your fogs....

I think he is using the term "rice" meaning cheap or tacky. And I think that he is talking about doing the yellow fogs with cellophane rather than just sucking it up and buying the bulbs.
