Damn Speed Trap!

Yes.. I got a ticket... i was coming around a turn.. and i saw the 30MPH sign and looked down at my speedo which was at like 50... i started on the breakes and i looked up and theres the pack of cops... blind turn.. they say i was doin 58 in the 30... I think im gunan do the traffic school..... well first ticket.. yay!

How much was the ticket?? Taking a class cost about 20 to 25 dollars. I know I'm a sucker for doing, but I didn't want to have my point showing to my insurance.

go to court, plead on constest, since its your first ticket they will drop it and just make you pay court fees which is like 30 bux, good luck!

get a damn traffic attorney! i can't tell this to people enough... pay the 50 or 60 dollars and forget about it... and since it's your first (and probably only) ticket, i'm sure it'll be easy to wipe off...

Who knows a good traffic lawyer in Orange County? Oh when the cop pulled me over he said they clocked me at 58.. but when i was coming around the bend i looked down at my speed and saw it dropping to the 40MPH click.... so in essence i told him i was speeding in the 30MPH but not doing anywhere near what they said i was. Will this affect the court's judgement?

Well... i was with you, and i see the area they got you in.... although you shoulda known better, i am in the school of though that a speed limit shouldnt be in effect untill you see its sign... in a residential area its one thing... but you were coming thru a real road, and one lined with commerce.... so the speed limit should be 45 untill the sign is atleast visible!

but no, that wont help you, what a cop says is gods word, if he put you were going 80, you were... it would be another kid in a jap-compact with a big wing in a court room calling a cop a liar... good luck, especially with judges in the UCF area, i bet they get that constantly!!!!!!

UCF offers free lawyer service! I have an appointment tomorow and I'm going to discuss these things... I'm gunan bring up the fact that there is no speed limit sign until just after where the cops were waiting.. man.. 30MPH doesnt seem right on that road 40... at least... it's lined with office buildings. Oh well. hopefully the lawyer can help me out ... and if she does it's free!!
