Bent Rim

I was dragracing a couple of my friends on the highway and tried to take the exit ramp a little too fast. I hit a curb at about 10 miles an hour. Didn't do any damage to the car but the inside of my rim was slightly bent. It doesn't leak air I'm just wondering if I can hammer it back into place? If I do could it potentially cause problems at high speeds later on? I do alot of auotcrossing and don't want my rim to self destruct later on. Usually I'm a good driver but I was fealing my wheaties after kicking some honda ass!!!! and the suggested 15mph corner was one of the ones that actually meant 15 not 50.

I recommend taking it to a shop...

get a full size spare or 15" rim, and use it while you send the rim alway for repairs. Try a place like Wheel Collision Center

Depending on what rims you have it may be better just to buy a new rim. FYI I've been riding on a bent rim for 12k miles with no problems, it has been on the front and the rear. It is bent on the outside w/ no air leaking

Same problem here man! Mine's slightly bent on the inside (damn pot holes).. luckily i didnt f*ck up my body kit. Anyway, how much does it usually cost to fix cuz ive been on mine for about 2k miles already. I should get it fixed...

Your lucky to have only a small dent. I just ran into a pot hole left from some construction and it totally blew my front and bent my rear passenger side rims. Hopefully the construction company there covers it or that is around 450 out of my pocket. If they don't want to cover the rims I will be in court. I just have the worst luck.

I have a 16" GTS rim for sale. I sold my car and have 1 full size spare rim left. Asking $45 plus shipping, the wheel is perfectly round. I don't know how to ship such a big item though.
