i bought the trd front and realizd that it definitely wasnt gonna get the "custom" look i was looking for so i successfully returned it and bought a blitz urethane front hopefully it will go well with my invader rear

Yeah, I got one back in 2000 thinking I would be one of the few to have it. I just came from my dealers lot having seen 3 silver GT celicas with the action package. Makes me mad, but rather save money for a turbo than replace it with something else.

i picked up all the TRD parts for my celica way back in march of 2000 thinking to myself...... sweet !! i'm gonna be the only one with all this stuff for a celica and i am gonna have the first hooked up celica in the northwest !!

maybe i was.... maybe i wasn't.... but i hadn't seen any celicas lookin' like mine back in those days and i ventured all around the great states of washington and oregon - i was so excited and thrilled !!

damn that costed me a pretty penny though !!

does anyone remember the prices back in those days ??

$2300 for the TRD front bumper
$1800 for the TRD wing
$ 800 for the sides
$ 450 for the rear valance
$1400 for the Sportivo "no drop" suspension
$ 350 for the rear TRD strut brace

ummm......

$ 600 for the TRD exhaust (i don't think that has changed)


thats where all my $$ ended up going and now.....

........TOYOTA has the action package celica !!!

(at least i know my car has true parts on it !! .....but does anyone else ?? - exactly)

oh well.... it's just the price we pay - right ??

The only difference I can see is that my front bumper has no toyota symbol. I am just waiting for the day when someone says "Oh that was creative, He shaved the toyota symbol off his front bumper". I think I will flip.

ouch..wasn't the action package like.......1500 more or something? that's what the dealer was going to charge me then....darn..i wish i did that...and i coulda made a hefty amount of money now...

eh, I was the only one to have it for a long time. That's just what happens when you have good looking stuff, people eventually copy it. And the prices were never quite that ridiculous. I paid $1425 for the bumper and something like $350 for the fog lights. But it all had to be imported from Japan, hence the price.

I think the dealership quoted me $2,500 for parts and install on the Action Package back in 2001 when I bought the car. Needless to say I told them to go :fawk: themselves.
