Need help... 02 or 03? Better deal or better options?

Here's the deal. I'm still waiting on my dealer to get in an 03 GT-S Spec Blue with action package, HIDs and leather interior. They still don't have the pricing on it.

They have two Spec Blue 02's GT-S 6 spd with action package and cloth interior sitting on the lot RIGHT NOW. I talked to my salesman, he said that they could give me a LOT better deal on an 02 than on the 03. I'm supposed to get a cost for cost (my trade in vs the new car) anyway on whatever I buy. Should I save myself some money (besides doing the rev limit conversion which I will HAVE to do) and buy an 02... or should I go for the 03 and spend a lot more money and get the rev limit, HIDs, new tails, etc? He said that he could get me leather on the 02 that is there with trim to match the exterior of the car.

What should I do?

***I might even be able to get the rev limit conversion done by Toyota since my salesman used to be a mechanic***

get the 03.

better head lights, better interior, better stereo color, better tails, stock 83K limit, better resale, don't have to have your mail delivered to you engine compartment (oh, you're getting the action package, still i never pass a chance to knock the new bumper). wouldn't pay more the 25K fully loaded. if you could do the 02 for 20K or less, maybe...

im kinda in the same boat with u..(but for a gt).. stick withe the 03..theres no real point in getting the 02..besides the hassle of changing the rev limiter..u are missing out on new tail lights, front, etc. just get your 03 specially ordered and u can get areally good deal..prolly take like 3months though.

I am buying if I can find a 2002 GT. I really don't like the new bumper, cloth headliner, darker console or shiny rear bumper.

Get the '02! Personally I think the 03 front is ugly, the rear bumper chrome latch is out of place. Only thing I think is ko0 would be the tails, but red out stock looks even more CLEAN!
and orange LCDs I think is easy to upgrade for your stero if you really must HAVE IT! So go with the better deal, save your money for your BMW.

DEFINITELY THE 03 ... the 00.01.02 model years are now outdated... especially the 02... its the bastard child with that retarded cutoff... and the only way to fix it would be to void your warranty... and you of all people should know how important the warranty is ...

right right my salesman called and said he can give me the 02 for 23k this includes action package... he doesn't have 03 pricing yet... I'm not spending nore than 24k out the door
He used to be a mech and said theres no way they can tell if I do the rev limit mod. He's pretty cool, he's twenty one or something and he's friends with some guy who built the 4.7L tundra motor turbocharged Celica (said it was at a shop over here in tampa)
