This has nothing to do with a celica. Also I dont know if this has already been posted. But i was up at the base car sales place and seen the pontic vibe. When i look at the engine it had vvtl-i on it and it look just like the gts motor. Also inside the shift knob, gauges , and the steering wheel looked just like the matrix. Just thought that was pretty strange.

OK, The "Vibe" is the sister car of thw "matrix" built on the same assembly line. They both share the same engine.

In reality though, this is perfect.
Because I know people who have said they like the Matrix , but they'd never own anything "non-domestic" so they'd rather buy the Vibe.
So for this guy to not know that right away going in. well I think that GM has made their marketing goal......

The good thing is that the 2ZZ-GE engine is slowly being put into more of the Toyota range of cars. Thast just means the aftermarket will see the 2ZZ-GE as more of a viable investment for real engine perfromance parts in the not to distant future.

Both of them are made at the same plant that was once shared by the Corolla and Malibu.
