What's up everyone,

Apparently my front end mask buttons/clips, the things that it bolts on to in the wheel well, got either lost or stolen from my Celica. I went to the dealer and they don't have those listed as available spare parts. The butthole at the counter told me to buy another whole front mask kit for 110 bucks, yeah right! Anyone know where I can find these. Are there any other cars' that are compatible with the Celica with regard to these clips/buttons? Does anyone want to sell theirs?

Thanks in advance,

Fin

I got a new set for free from my dealer. I had an auto GT-S and traded for a 6-speed. Well I thought I had everything off of it until I went to put the bra on the 6-speed and guess what -- I forgot to take the snaps off the auto. :(

I called them and they ordered a "set of hardware" for the 2000+ celica front mask and mailed it to me -- all for free. It was the instructions with the little bag that has the 2 snaps and screws in it.

All I can say is call a couple dealer and tell them you need a new set of hardware. Hopefully one of them will order one for you -- even if it costs a couple bucks.

I'm in the same boat.... I guess the button fell off and I went through the same thing you did.... The parts guy at the Toyota dealership wasn't so bad though, he suggested going to a hardware store and bringing along one of the buttons to match it to the existing bra. Sounds like a good suggestion, I just haven't gotten around to doing it yet. If someone IS willing to sell one (or send me one, the thing looks like it'd be about 15 cents) I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks a lot for the info guys. Pinoy, that is a good call, I'm going to do that after I call some other dealers. 2000 XYR, I hope I have the same luck. Is that what they called it, "hardware" for the front mask? Maybe that's why the guy couldn't find it on his parts sheet. Either way, I'm going to keep trying.

Thanks again for helping out guys,

Happy Holidays,

Fin

This is EXACTLY why I participate in this forum! I just got off the phone with the parts guy from the dealership and I told him exactly what I saw in this post about the front end mask hardware.... He ordered it and it'll be on the way!!! :D Thanks 2000 XYR! I can finally put the bra back on my car!

Hey Pinoy, I noticed you are in Orlando too, where do you live? Did you get your Toyota at Toyota of Orlando? Is that where you ordered the part? If not, where did you order it? How much was it?

I'm right across from the metro west area on Conway. Are you going to the mini meet this Friday?

Let me know what's up, Thanks!
