I'm pissed....

I just wanted to vent to you guys....I got my 02 celica (with action package) at the end of May. Okay 3 weeks after I had my car the side rocker panels were getting really loose. I took it to the dealership and they treated me like crap and told me there was nothing they could do b/c they are supposed to be loose. I spent 6 hours up there that day for them to tell me they couldn't do anything.

Okay, now last Friday night my friend and I are headed out and I go to get gas. She goes in to pay and says oh no, so I was like what? I go over to the passenger side and sure enough the cheap a$$ screw bolt thingy they have in there came out and the cheap wanna be glue came off. It's barely holding on. I'm so pissed. I get off in 45 minutes to go to the dealership so the bastards can fix it. FYI- I'm not going to the same dealership b/c they are bastards. :angry: Do you guys think I should get them to go ahead and do something to the other side as well so I don't have to go back? I don't want to be rude to the new dealership b/c they seem cool. HHHHHHHEEEELLLLLLLPPPP What could they do to make it more secure?

Well thanks for listen to me whine guys. :wtc: It's just so frustrating people can't do their darn job right and as much as you pay for stuff you would think they wouldn't be so petty.

Get Toyota Corporate involved. Like Russ said, escalate. You can go to the website and issue a complaint. YOu'll get a ticket # and a phone number to call.

I already went to corporate after that day and they filed a complaint and that was it. I even tried to get the bastards to reimburse me for the day I took off to sit up there for 6 hours. Not to mention I live an hour away from that dealership and I went up there a few days before that Monday (on Saturday I think) and they said they could fix it Monday.

Same thing happened to me Meagan with my action package kit, so i went to my dealership and they replaced the whole kit and the glue and moldings, and now it's under warrenty. If you bought the car with the package, it should be covered under warrenty. That's BS if they don't want to fix it. Best thing to do is go to Toyota .com and complain about it, believe me you will get fast results. Good Luck Girl!:)

Why are some dealerships such assholes? Is the side skirt held on only by sticky tape, or are there bolts? Either way it would take the dealership like 10 minutes to fix.

My dealer is really good about fixing stuff for me. I got new tail light bulbs for free and they fixed this annoying rattle I had even though it came from my aftermarket remote starter.

UPDATE: Yesterday afternoon I went to a different dealer (the nice guys) and they replaced the cheap bolt thing and that's that. They were better but it still upsets me that I paid $1500 extra bucks to have that extra kit and it's like having the side skirts on with elementary school glue and plastic wanna be screws. I don't understand why the dealership (the 1st one I bought it from) couldn't do that. I told them yesterday though they might see me every month if this is going to happen over and over. He assured me that it will not come out but I was thinking :wtf: b/c it did 3 weeks after I had it and continued to get worst.

CONCLUSION: If it happens again I swear on my life I am going to be one "hot momma". I live out in the boonies so it is a long drive to both dealerships and it shouldn't be that cheaply made.
