I just purchased TRD springs. Does anyone have any pics of it lowered with these with stock rims and tires(preferrably on silver celica)? And I'm not sure if i should get it installed at toyota or another place. Toyota quotes me $425 which includes an alignment. The other place quotes around $370. One toyota dealership told me installation other than toyota voids suspension warranty while the one that gave me the quote says it doesn't. What should i do?

Here is a pic of TRD drop on silver...Not exactly stock wheels, but it's the same size as stock (16s)

thanks for the pic. I like that short drop. I'm not too fond of the lower drops. I i don't want to have to slow down for every bump and stuff. So is the price I mentioned above for installation good? How do you like the TRD springs?

The only way your springs would void your warranty, is if Toyota could prove that they were the cause of any damage to the car. I do all my own installs, and my warranty is still valid. I have done 3 different installs on my Celica so far.

Stock springs - VIS Coilovers
VIS Coilovers - Stock springs
Stock Springs - Tanabe 2" drop
Tanabe 2" drop - Skunk2 Coilovers (coming soon)

You should be able to find a shop to do the spring install for a bout $100-$125 tops. I would do it for $50 if you were local. My last install took me less than 2 hours, and I did it by myself.

What yota_racer said is correct. Although most if not all dealerships will tell you that if the springs are not installed by a delership it voids the warranty. As for where to get it installed. I'd suggest a local shop as opposed to a dealership. Around my aread the cheapest price I found was $210. The dealers were asking anywhere from $300 to $700

In the end do what makes you most comfortable.

i ended up getting a local toyota dealer doing in. It cost 425 which included alignment. They did a good job. There is hardly any shop in my city that do spring installs. The one i found was a really small shop and they wanted 380, so i just went with toyota to be safe.

That was probably the best thing to do in your case. Post pics of your car with the drop. ;)
