So what do you all think? I think its hilarious and cool at the same time. In Illinois, its really cheap for vanity plates ($14 a year) so I figured what the hell. I just sent in the form last week so I won't know for a while. I was sort of trying to hold off until I got all my bodywork done and my wheels, but I don't some other turd to snatch up my idea.

I'm totally with you on this one! I think it'll be funny and cool at the same time too. The responses you get from it should be interesting, but I like it.

Its ghey!! Everyone that owns a Celica should hate those commercials, "Looks Fast". It is a fast car, those commercials suck. It is just another way people make fun of our cars, which is why it is so underrated.. So please dont get that

That's the point. Especially if you get a body kit and wheels. They make your car look even faster. People like to make fun of that "Looks Fast" ad, so if you put it on the plate, then you take away all their material. Then they can get a good look at the back of the car as I pull away :D

14 dollars is cheap as hell I spent 70 bucks on mine and it 45 dollars a year to renew, I got "BLURRR" I just got it in 2 weeks ago It looks great, but it was expensive. I too like the LKSFast I was thinking of that except that we can only use 6 letters my second choice was ISFAST, anyway I like it.

I think you read the brochure wrong there Jesse. Personalized plates are $14 a year and Vanity Plates are $90 a year. LKS FAST is a Vanity Plate. Personal plates must begin with all letters, end with a number and be no more than 7 characters and one space.

For example:

AAA 2 = Personal Plate $14 because you ended with a number
A 2B = Vanity plate $90 because you ended with a letter
AAA B = Vanity plate $90 because you ended with a letter

Mao, I thought the same thing. I read the brochure over several times and as long as you already have Illinois plates, its only an extra $14 per year.

hey 6spdgts you should apply for it early... it took me about 3 months to get mine... cause i sent them the app.. then a month later they sent it back with the choices that were allowed... so i had to send them back what i wanted, then 8 weeks later it showed up...

wow some of you guys got it bad... in NY we can look up the plates we want on the website and it will tell you if its available and valid... initial charge is $37.25 and annual fee is $25... mines "2BENVIED"... funny, some guy by me had same idea, he has same car, same color, but no kit, and his plate says "GTS 2 NV":)

You guys should all be happy cause here in Canada it's like $300.00 for vanity plates. Plus $70.00 a year to renew your plate stickers.

I've had MR RICE now for a few years, and not because I drive a rice rocket, but because that is my last name! :D

You are lucky in the USA, my personalised plate - single digit number and 2 initials cost me

Yes Mao, you are very correct. But the $94 you speak of is only if you have no plates. Notice later where is says:

Fees:
Only apply if the vehicle currently has IL plates...$14 per year

(I'm bored, so I'm going to whore up the board and bring up some old threads.)

... I think it's cute when people from the celica boards get thier user name as their lisence plate. That's what I did.. but my whole name doesn't fit, so I just got "SELIKA". ;)
