Sup all,
I think i'm in a crap load of trouble, i'm kinda pissed at myself right now. the thing is that i was on a trip with a couple friends and their families and we were driven through LA (la brea street to be specific.) well, i had no idea where i was and they were runnin through yellow lights to make it and i was like wtf?! i had no idea where i was so i tried to stay on them... this is the thing the 2 yellows that i ran one was **** close to red and of course the one light i did it on had red light cameras and the 2nd one i'm not sure but there was something there but no boxy cams. i have no idea if i was caught on those cams, i only found out that they were there cuz my friend told me afterwards.... i am so upset with myself right now it's not even funny! i was pissed at myself even before knowin about the cams.

now i've been stressin about this all night, cuz i'm worried about my car insurance. i have no current violations of any sort. though i did have a speeding ticket a couple months back and took a class to take it off my record. but my question is will this, in california with red light cams if u run it is this considered a traffic violation or is this handled something like a parking ticket like in new york? i'm really scared that they were both red light cams and both are now sending me a ticket in the mail. my car insurance is already 195/month cuz of the area i live in.... i don't know what to do... anyone any help is MUCH appreciated.... thnx

man that sux, just sleep...wake up tomorrow and hopefully you'll think of something... i'm sure there are ways to fight those tickets, and it shouldn't be too bad. hehe, just imagine your friend didn't tell u about the cams... ignorance is bliss my friend :)

+ u didn't actually run a red light so don't stress it.. just say it was yellow and it was unsafe to stop

Actually if the cameras systems are the same as they are here then you do not have to pay them. The ticket actually does not go on your record anyway. They will probable send you a notice saying you have to pay this ticket. Send it back and tell them you are not paying. These cameras are not hooked up to the police departments. The cameras are operated by a private company and they would have to spend more to take you to small claims court than it is worth. I say screw the camera ticket and don't pay. My girlfriend is a lawyer her in NC and she got one and she called them and said they had no right to authorize tickets and they dropped it. I am saying over here that you do not have to pay it may be different in Cali. Hope this helps.
