another new ATL thread...

ok, this doesn't really relate to a whole lot but thought i'd mention it plenty in advance for everyone to get ready...hot import nights will be here in atl. next year (2002) on august 10 at the world congress center. i was pretty excited about it and thought everyone else might find it interesting too, we definately all need to show up for it. registration this year was $50 so i figure it will be about the same next year. and another cool thing coming up that some of yall might wanna go to (i'm pretty sure i'll go check it out) is the international motorcycle show on jan. 25-27 at the cobb galleria center. if anyone else is interested in going, let me know and we can try to pick out a day to meet up on. other than that, not much else happening, next meet is the first sat. of jan at ? (some of us were talking about malibu grand prix, or if anyone else has some ideas thats cool too). i need to check with my family to make sure they're not doing anything for my sister's birthday that day and if we are i'll let everyone know and maybe we can move it or something, but i doubt anything will come up. ok, i think thats about it...

Hey I can't wait for HIN in ATL I wish you hadn't told me since its almost a year away, Next meet I am going to be extermly bust on that saturday anyway we can move it till the 12th if not thats cool but I will just be able to stop by for a few minutes. Malibu sounds cool. Any body heard of Andretti speed labs. They have a go cart track inside the go-carts go like 35MPH. The place rocks. its over by North point mall. so it may be hard for us all to meet over there I now that a lot of civic clubs meet their on like thursday nights. I just got paid from my other job so When I get back from FL I am leaving on friday morning and will be back on sunday night. I will be getting my head unit installed and I am going to order my pedals. Not sure what else I am going to do I am checking prices on getting the springs installed right now maybe I will get those

ha...thats cool that you got the gts pedals on the way, those should look nice. i'm cool with the 12th if everyone else is. and i'd like to go to that andretti speed lab place, it sounds pretty cool from what i've heard. i had forgotten about it until you mentioned it, but there or malibu is alright with me. also, on another subject, i'm pretty pissed with wings west right now cuz after having my spoiler for like 2 weeks it's already cracked. i'm gonna write them and hope that they'll send a new one that actually stays together. i thought that year they spent planning these new ones would fix them but i guess not. anyhow, just thought i'd get that out and warn anyone else before they order anything from them.

Yeah, HIN sounds like it should be a lot of fun. Maybe by then we will have a larger club. Hopefully my car will be modded at least a little bit by then also. I almost ordered the TRD exhaust, but I went ahead and ordered a new front wheel for my bike which ended up being almost $450. There is some word of possibly getting a christmas bonus at work, so I'm keaping my fingers crossed. Then I can get the exhaust maybe.

Andretti speed lab sounds like a good place to me. I have heard that it is nice. A couple of cars from where I work are on display there I think too. The 12th is ok for me also if thats when you all want to meet.

Cody, that sucks about your wing. I hope WW replaces it for you! That would be crapy of them to come out with the new one that still cracks and not fix it.

I have been their a few times it really is cool. I still haven't driven the go-carts but my friends have and they say it is cool. If we want to go there I will go and see if we can get some type of Group discount.

Looks cool. I didn't realize it was so expensive. I wonder how many people we would have to have to get a group rate. The karts sound like they would be a lot of fun! I would be cool with meeting there.

ok, i talked to armen at new way auto sports (the cheap wings west dealer) and sent him a pic and he said that they'll get something done for me right away. not sure if that means a whole new wing, or just part of it, and any extra money to cover panting again or whatever, but i guess i'll see. also, just thought i'd mention that i'll be gone from tomorrow until monday so i probably wont be on here for those days.

Here is an update on the decals. The guy came over today and took measurements for the decals. He is going to go ahead and cut one set for me to make sure it is ok. I'll take pics and if everyone likes them I'll have him do the rest. We decided on trying 5 inch tall lettering for the windshield and I'll probably do a 6 inch tint strip behind it. He also said he can do bands in whatever color too if anyone wants them. Cody, he said the blue to white would be no problem either. I'll update you all again hopefully monday.

The 12th is fine. Cody that sucks about your wing. Maybe you could duct tape it and tell people that its gray carbon fiber.

Duncan what about the stickers for the side windows?

My wheels came in on Tuesday. I think they look pretty good. Should have pictures some time next week.

Sorry I didn't mention that before. He is doing them also. I'll take pics of that too and make sure you like them. He said he has several diffeent reds so hopefully I can pick the one closest to the red you have now. It is close to the TRD red right? I'll make sure it will look good though. I can always get him to make more if it isn't exactly the same.

Can't wait to see the wheels. They looked good on Tirerack.com.

ok, managed to log on here on my cousin's computer with this nice cable connection, makes me really hate my 56k...oh well...anyway, looking foward to getting the stickers and seeing your wheels barry, they should be nice. i like the tape idea on the spoiler too...haha. and i guess we can definately plan on the 12th for the next meet too.

Is anyone else going to that motorcycle show? I would like to go. I got my bike put back together yesterday and went up to Dahlonega and Suches today. It was a little cold to be flying around through the mountains. We should have one of those mountain runs, or whatever its called. That would be a lot of fun. Well...hopefully the guy will bring the first set of decals by tomorrow and put them on so I can snap some pics. I'm sure it will look good though.

Just got back from Florida y'all wouldn't believe the rice I saw., there was a ECHO that was debadged and had lexus badging on it exhaust and rims it was such rice, ohwell I just ordered my new head unit getting it installed on saturday can't wait to see how those stickers turn out. Barry can't wait to see the rims on your car.

sounds like the rice in FL was fun mark. i just got back from birmingham and didn't see too much, however i did see probably 10 celicas which was kinda cool, but none had any mods at all. and i also saw a guy lay down his 2001 cbr 600 and nearly get run over which kinda sucked. but yea, i'm gonna go to that motorcycle show, not sure what day, but if anyone has any preferences and wants to meet up let me know. oh, and i'd love to do one of the mountain runs, we definately need to get that worked up sometime.

I just got the first set of decals from the sticker guy. They are just in white to make sure we like the design. I have been extremely busy, so all I had time to do is lay it on the windshield and take a pic. I think it will look good. He curved it perfectly to match the curve in the windshield. Also, he told me it will be $18 a peice for the windshield decals in one color. If anyone wants an outline in a dif color it will be $27 or so. I decided not to get extras for now. He will keap the design on his computer so we can get more if we need them, so I need to know exactly what everyone wants. I can pay for a couple of sets until the next meet, but beyond that I may need the money first. I forgot to ask him the quarter window decal price. I will call him the week after christmas and ask him and to give him the order(I'm leaving tomorrow and get back the 26th). i think i wanna get a blue one w/ white outline if that would be alright. and also 2 small ones that can fit on a helmet face shield, 1 in blue and 1 in white (so if i get a tinted visor too). and i think thats about it for me. i can either pay you at the next meet, or send it to you, or whatever would be the easiest. by the way, did we decide for sure where the next meet would be? andretti speed lab is cool with me, or if we wanted to be a little cheaper malibu would work too. just let me know. thanks...

The helmet sticker shouldn't be a problem. I will probably get one for mine also. The blue windshield decal outlined in whit will look good I think. I will confirm everything when I get back and get them done. Maybe if anyone else wants to we can meet up before the next meet to get them so we can have them on for the next meet. Either place for the meet is cool with me. If you haven't already found it, I sent pics of the decals to you Cody. I have still not tried posting pictures. The pics are just of the decal with the backing on it laying on my windshield. He just made that one in white and without the transfer paper on it so we could see it.

by the way, for those wondering, the stickers are not actually on the car, thats why you cant really see them clearly. the paper on top of them will be peeled off once they are on the car. just wanted to clear that up if anyone thought something didn't look right.

Guess who got in a car accident on 75 this morning thats right it was me some woman was not in her lane so I didn't see her and as I pulled into the lane she flew into my passenger mirror I was pissed and still am luckily because the mirrors are retratable they just moved and the motor for the power mirror still work and all I need is glass insert, and to buff the paint from her mirror off mine it could have been worse but know I have to live with my mother telling me that I shouldn't have gone to work today because I am sick and thats what happens. The only good thing is its only going to cost me 43 dollars for the part.

just got done playing around with the phase 7 page and putting a new pic up on the main page. wanted to see if everyone liked it ok, or if you'd rather me keep it how it was. i also added a few pics and more in the sections on each person. if anyone doesn't have any pics or info listed under them and wants some there post it here or e-mail it to me and i'll get it on there. also, if anyone ever has any other comments or suggestions on the page let me know and i can probably get something done.

Yeah that wasn't cool about the accident and everything but things started looking up this afternoon when I went to get the mirror it was only 34 dollars, and was pretty easy to fix and when I pulled into my driveway my pedals were there that was cool so I fixed my mirror buffed out the scrachs and now you can't even tell anything had happend, then I put the pedals on it took like an hour but they look sweet.

My Mom bought my Dad his Christmas prestent last night it is really cool she bought him a digital camera its the Nikon 775 I was playing with it last night it takes great pics I took a couple of my car they look cool I will put them on yahoo or webshots this weekend so yall can see them
