I'm just trying to get some opinions on people who have used Bats overlay kits like the ..... g1 Upper Grill Overlay Kit and the W1 TRD STYLE WING OVERLAY COLOR SAMPLES .

I have an 02 silver celi and I'm trying to get a red and silver theme going. I have my interior pieces painted and trying to do some cheap mods on the outside. I just got Karls kit to fill in "CELICA" in the back in red and that looks good.

Just want some opinions. Thanks in advance! ;)

There is a ton of positive feedback on him/his kits here:
http://newcelica.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=14152

All I have is the fill-in as well. Personally, i would consider the item you want covered first beacuse vinyl is cheap and you could do it yourself depending on the complexity of the cut.

Hey, your in Jax! What up?! I have bought vinyl from the graphics shop in the Avenues mall near Radio Shack. A strip big enough to do 3 fill-ins was $2

cool! Thanks! That strip sounds like a really awesome deal but I like the convenience of having it cut out for me and just sticking it on! I'm clueless if it comes to having to actually work!

Yep I'm in Jax too! Maybe I'll see ya around some time! ;)

Bat's kits are great, nice quality. The latest kit I've ordered from him is the sm1 smoked tint overlay for the stock sidemarkers:

I try to organize them every so often. I keep adding new pics, I just don't have the time nowadays, I'm so busy. I'll get to it soon.

I think my Centerhood kit in red would look tight on silver:thumbup: BTW, I got yer email.

the silver and red theme goes great.
i got my dash painted red, bat's overlays for the a/c, bat's g1 upper grill kit, karl's celica reflective red fill in, karl's "toyota" overlay in red...o yea and i had bat's door handld overlays in red and i stupidly installed it in the sun, got frustrated, teared em apart, so i wasted money there =)

check out my pix of my celica here: www.pbase.com/sssnake_eyes
some good pix of the interior painted. note: when pix were taken, grill kit, clear corners, toyota overlay, and painted calipers were not present.

o yea, paint your calipers red.

Bat is the absolute man! so far i have gotten his v9 redout kit, and recently i went vinyl crazy and ordered his v5 tail light kit, AC overlay kit in black and dark gunmetal, and door handle wells in dark gunmetal. I already applied em and they turned out really well..especially all the tail light overlays. i will be postin pics soon.

I love Bats tailight redouts and my sidemarker redouts. They both look sweet. And they're cheap.

Thanks guys I'm excited! I do have one more question.... someone mentioned the vent overlay kit (didn't even think about that) how hard is that to put on? I am clueless when it comes to doing that and I heard they are a pain to get out. When I had my interior pieces painted the guy wouldn't even do that b/c he said it would be too frustrating. (lazy bastard  )

Okay I lied... I have another question.... In Bats pics I saw the picture of the upper grill overlay kit. Well I was checking out my ride last night and my upper grill isn't that small b/c of the action package it is longer. Is that a problem?

Sorry for all the questions! ;)

I don't know how difficult it would be but have you considered a kit for the whole center console? A few places do the carbon fiber and stuff but you seem to be an expert on the colors that our cars come in. Plus it would probably be cheaper to do a vinyl kit or something. I spent $200 on a dash kit and it doesn't cover very well and the color doesn't match. My other option was painting which I am considering but Then I either have to tape off the climate control area or paint over them, neither are a choice I want but if there was a nice overlay I could cover the whole thing with I wouldn't be worried about wrecking my console.

Anyway, just a thought.

hells yes..id love one in dark gunmetal and black depending on what pieces you were doing on the console. :)

wondering..which pieces are u thinking of doing?

Blue Batmobile
09-24-2002, 06:35 PM
Right now, I'll start with the top piece. I'm leaving the part with the hvac alone, too much intricate cutting;).

Bat, can't wait to hear updates on this kit.

Btw, are you going to unveil the WW sideskirt overlay kit soon or do you plan to keep it hush hush for now? :)

The WWwest sideskirt kit is going through another design change. I'm trying different things, just haven't found the design I want to stick with.
