Problems with the Celica

The lift gate keeps coming down on me. I think the shocks are cheap or defective. It's only been happening in the last while. Also my CD player keeps skipping and by brakes squeek. Do any of you guys have these same problems? My car is only 1 year and 1 month old.

The hatch struts should not allow it to close if you have a stock or no spoiler. The CD player had a problem and has since been fixed. See your dealer to have both repaired under warranty. Don't know that squeaky brakes is any kind of prevalent problem on the Celicas.

I also have squeky breaks :( Kinda sux, cause it's only when they haven't warmed up, but it sounds bad and I'll prolly get it fixed, but whatev. NO big deal.

yea i have squeeky brakes too...........but its on the right side but only when i turn left? i thought this was kinda strange but yea...if any body could hook me up w/ some info...TIA

I've got an interesting brake problem, they squeek HORRIBLY, but only when I'm in reverse. In normal driving (nose first) they give me no trouble. Whats up with that?

Your brakes should only squeak when they are wet. Other than that, you should have a dealer check them out.
