Man I'm really scraping the hell out of my new Kam kit, I really wanted to reduce the space between the fender and the wheel (would make a really clean look along with tint) but how bad is it more with you put springs on? I was looking to get TRD, or something really conservative.

Im guessing your scraping on stock springs. I have trd and its not easy to get at an angle, but I have 18's so it helps A LOT when it comes to those dips.

What springs do you have? Im planning to get a Kam kit too after I get money from the person's insurance that rear ended me. I will also put a RSR indivia springs on with stock GT wheels. Now im worried on scrapping issues. I might get the TRD kit instead.

Also how much clearance is the kam kit compare to stock?

yah.. i have stock 15s and stock springs.. speedbumps are nothing.. but driveways and dips are killing me! i dunno how you blitz people do it. i was gonna do hotchkis springs but im thinking about getting 18's first.. and trd's. i'd say kaminari is a lil over an inch lower than stock.

If you're scraping on stock springs, I'd highly suggest you to practice going sideways before even thinking about getting springs. Jus fyi trd springs don't completely eliminate the wheel gap..there's still about an inch when using 18s.

I have the Kaminari kit with Eibach Sportlines. I scrape quite a bit, you just need to take almost EVERYTHING at an angle ;) I have to enter most parking lots at an angle, and I avoid all speedbumps. The drop looks killer with the kit though!

with the blitz us, even taking dips and humps at angles i still scrape like crazy. i have stock 16's and stock springs and theres probably like 2 to 2.5 in of clearance compared to the 5 in i use to have on the stock bumber.

size of wheels are irrelevant in this case. the bigger wheel you get it doesn't mean that you will have a higher ride, or less fender gap if you are using the right size tires, that are same diameter as stock. it just means that you have less tire all around and more rim.

I have been driving lowered cars for about 10 yrs and I have 18 with 40 series tires. If you are used to having a lowered car like I have had you will learn just by looking at things what you can and what you can't go over or up. I have scraped just a little of the front but "knock on wood" I haven't scrapped it real bad yet. I have Eibach pro kit springs on and it sits low but it just depends on what you are going over or up and how you angle it. The bigger the hump or the steeper the incline the more angle you have to go at it. Don't wip it over it just take your time and watch out.

I'm on stock 16's and have hotchkis springs. I've only scraped twice and I've had the kit for a pretty long time now. If you are careful and avoid big dips you'll be ok.

Also take into consideration Fiberglass Kaminari sits lower than Urethane Kaminari kits.

I'm on 17's now with stock springs, I really don't want to the car to be lower.. err I just want the fenders to get bigger... to kill the gap esp in the back. I do take stuff at an angle, but still theres somethings that just can't be avoided!

I live in the South and I go to a college where there arn't enough parking spaces, so much that I have to part some where else and shuttle over, traffic doesn't allow for much angling...

I dont think its irrelevant. I believe its irrelevant if your plus size wheels are the same diameter as the stock ones. Going from 15 to 18 WILL raise your car a little when the overall diameter of the 18's is greater then the 15's or 16's stock.

Everyone scrapes at one time or another if they use their car for a daily driver and it is modified to be lower to the ground than stock. At least everyone I know with a bodykit has scraped at least once. No one is perfect. I try not to worry about it that much.

I have a Blitz front and I used to be on the stock 15" wheels and it was HARD not scraping, and I ended up scraping twice like that. Hell, the other day, I scraped with my 17's...and I am on 45 mm tires. Nonetheless, it is hard adjusting to having only a little over 4" of ground clearance, not to mention a front bumper that is longer and therefore more prone to scraping. Just try and take everything at as much of an angle as possible.

i have a veilside kit with a sportline drop (exactly 3.5 in. clearance in the front) and i have only scraped once. you just have to be careful, oh yeah and it's my daily driver.

Angles are key. I really don't scrape at all on TRD springs... slow, steady, and ANGLES

TwinCeliGirl - did you ever post pics of your car up with your new spoiler? or did I miss it? :(
