After talking to some guy w/ a strange accent I have just been told that I can get the VIS invader style carbon fiber hood for 525 shipped to my business address!!! Does this sound right? I though it would be like 100 dollars more than that. If anyone wants to call to see if I'm correct the # is 626-573-8383

No, its not enough. Call him back and tell him to tack on an extra $100 so you'll feel better.

Haha, I talked to Mb earlier and they said it would be 650 shipped to my door. Why is their price 100 dollars more??

go for it...thats a great price!! Did u ask how much for the OEM carbon fiber hood? That way he would kno what u are talkin about cause those guys at VIS suck at english.

thats a really good price then.....i would order it, but i really dont like how it looks becuase of the two scoops.

I got mine for 450 shipped (OEM), and that was about 6 months ago.... I've got a very nice hookup.

I believe VIS makes several different types of hoods are u sure its grade A clear coated?
450 shipped for an OEM one is an amazing price!!!
i hate my FI hood with passions.......:(

from what i heard..VIS overlays/wraps the CF on top of fiber glass then does the coating or whatever. as with FI its full CF except the skeleton/frame it uses.. i havent seen a VIS yet to compare with my FI.
that would explain why the FI hood is 4lbs lighter ;)

$450 shipped is BS man. I got mine about 2 months ago for $595 shipped. When I got the OEM style, the Invader was $650 shipped.

i paid 620 for mine, from VIS...i got the invader...it looks so much better than my stock hood....it's a much better quality than most of the carbon fiber hoods i've seen around.....
PhatcellyGT- go for that price. I got the hookup from Tim at Concept Auto Creations and still paid $550 shipped. I really don't think you'll get a better price.....

Thanks for the compliment Personafied. i just sent out some sponsorship packets, so i'm hoping to get picked up by someone and they'll give me stuff. I really want some racing seats, but i have a tv on the way and just bought some gauges for my gauge pod. i never know what i'm going to do next- i'm more of a spontaneous- "ooo i gotta have right now" kindof girl. hehehe

No, really thats the price I got it for....He took off about 50$ + he got a deal with VIS due to the number of hoods he ordered, so i benefited! I've been goin to that shop for a long time. :)

$425 for the invader hood!!!!!!!!!
i was suprised she got it for that much,
but she lives near the vis location in monterey park and pic up with any shipping cost
