View Full Version : Negative Camber

Recently had my 2002 gts lowered with Eibach sportlines (1.8 front, 2.4 rear) and although I'm fully satisfied with the ride, I'm now noticing negative camber on my rear wheels. Don't know the degree but it is visible.
I don't know if a camber kit is available yet from Eibach for my car. Does anybody know and if so, from where? Does anybody else have some negative camber from these springs and do I need to worry much about it? I haven't gotten an alignment (getting mixed advice as to whether it is needed) so would that be something I have to do? I'm still on stock 16" wheels with the Yoko adven tires and would like them to last at least a couple years.
Any advice re: camber kit or alignment or other would be appreciated.
Thanks all.

You should definitely get an alignment.
I doubt you'll need a camber kit...certainly see what you can do with crash bolts front and stock adjusters rear before investing in a kit.
Remember, negative camber (in moderation) is a good thing.

Thanks for the reply. I am going to get an alignment for sure. Can't seem to find any alignment kit for the sportlines on 02 celica. I'll do some research on crash bolts. Did you mean shock adjusters for rear or stock adjusters? What's that?
Thanks.

Stock adjusters. The rear suspension has a wide range of toe and camber adjustability without adding any sort of aftermarket kit. There are bolts that an alignment guy can turn to adjust camber.
In the front, there are not "adjusters," but you can swap thinner "crash" bolts into the bottom strut holes to gain some adjustability...then, you adjust camber by literally wiggling the tire/wheel around and tightening the bolts.
